Those are literally airplanes on approach lined up to their runways.
View attachment 722857
They might be airplanes lined up. It might be hysterical. Don't really care it's not here. But I live in Brandon. There are three landing paths to Jackson International. I have been living here since 2005. I know what it looks like when they are coming in. So, what you are saying these people who are only seeing planes thinking they are drones are now just seeing airplanes lined up to land for the first time. There is a little BS going on with statement. If you live in the lading path of an airport, you know what it sounds like and looks like. Let me add if you live a military post you know the of what goes on. You see it every day. I have traveled on 468 to Florence to see my father in-law. I have seen the C-17 flying at night and it does look like it is sitting still or not moving at all, but I have seen is numerous times and know it is traveling really fast. You just know if you live close to it. I posted that article because I read it and read it on several outlets and thought it would be fun to discuss. After letting a Chinese spy balloon cross the continental US and Kirby saying it was just a lost weather balloon makes you wonder is he lying now. There is something more than just airplanes flying. Who knows why outside the government.

At the risk of lightening striking my tin foil hat....

The Dept. of Defense and the CIA are giving a classified briefing regarding "drone activity" today at 2pm to house intelligence members.

......they all getting together to talk about planes and helicopters?

It's hysterics until proven otherwise. Every video I've seen to date is unimpressive. Grainy, easily explained, etc. I think people really underestimate how ****** we are at identifying objects in the evening and night sky with our naked eye and cameras not configured to do it.

I agree and I do think there are things civilians should be left in the dark or guessing on.

If they were giving briefings on something that was indeed very sensitive / significant, do you really they would let everyone in the world know the time and place?

Probably not. They will probably talk about ALL the different flying crap that has been videoed over the last week and a half- so jets, helicopters, drones, prop planes, stars, satellites, etc. If there is actual knowledge of what is going on, then those with clearance will be updated and everyone without clearance will be SOL. That is how classified intel is supposed to work(insert a joke about classified documents stored next to a toilet here).

On a related note- whatever happened to these drones coming from an Iranian Mothership off the coast of the US? That was a wild conspiracy and hasnt been shown to have any merit. Has that Congressman been tarred and feathered yet?

Conspiracies are incredibly dangerous because there is almost no responsibility to be taken when they are found to be totally false. People just move on and either dont even acknowledge the insane crap they were claiming, or they justify it with 'well I was just asking questions and wasnt getting any answers'. Meanwhile, actual opinions of how others do their jobs are formed by conspiracy theories, and those opinions tend to stick.
Its bonkers.

I tend to agree with this is some instances. But to be fair, the govt is simultaneously comprised of people that think an island may flip over and people that develop cutting edge military technology.

This is just one news report. Nuts if somehow it is true. Someone's *** needs to be kicked.

I suppose that's as good a guess as any, but it's nothing more than conjecture. Basically, it has to be some US DoD or other alphabet agency testing or collecting data of some sort. Instead of saying we're in no danger even though they don't know what it is doesn't quite cut it. US authorities have to know what's going on (if we don't, we're REALLY in trouble), so why not tell the truth and just say it's the US running a classified program. Details are not necessary. Most would be fine with that explanation.

I said in the other thread it was military either training, practicing or testing. It could also be using drones to test to see if our defense systems are working.

I was on a LPD with 1800 Marines going to Korea. The first day we had two US Frigates and one US Destroyer as escorts. The next day we had three S Korean Destroyers, along with the other three ships and a MPS ship with a Submarine Hunting Plane flying over head back and forth. There were several sailors with binoculars looking out. I asked one of them what was going on and he said there was a Submarine following us. I asked was it a US sub. He said they did not know. Sometimes they do follow us testing our defenses. I said OK. We got to Korea disembarked from the ship and headed North. Five weeks later we got back on the ship, and I saw that same sailor. I asked him about the Sub, and he said it was a N. Korean Sub. My point is they do war game this kind of stuff. In that case it was not a game. It was real.

I 100% believe that it is military and something that are not going to discuss. Just look at how quickly they tracked down the drone operators in Boston who were interfering with Logan airspace. They tracked both the flight path and the location that it was being controlled from. We are so "information entitled", to coin a term, these days that we think we should know everything about everything in real time, when the reality is that for the military to be effective, certain intelligence should not be shared.

I don't think that we would have the fortitude to conduct a Manhattan Project equivalent in this day and age...

I like this quote: “I know this guy whose father worked with the Pentagon and NASA and, like, secret projects,” she continued.
Knew I was going to regret opening that.
- from the NY Post ... this should be insightful
- the headline .... there's a good chance and you were right!
- who is Bethenny ... ah a "housewife"
- then your quote ... hold on, she knows someone!
- and the best for last ..... it was like when I was sitting in my car with MY DRIVER and he knew the Covins was coming (simultaneously pretentious and nutty)

Seriously? You really think the government is searching for a lost nuclear weapon? Cause if they were, I'm sure they'd make sure to use well-lit drones out in the open in the daylight and early evening hours where they'd be seen by the most people. One thing I know for sure, if they were searching for a list nuclear weapon, no one would ever know about it.
You mean like right now?

Wasn’t trying to be a dick, so for that I apologize. Just pointing out that every theory that is pushed on this is immediately embraced without proof.

Also, in reference to your previous post, I have never said these weren’t drones. I believe my only contribution to the drone thread was that Galaga is the greatest arcade game of all time. I stand by my opinion and am sorry if it offends you.

Yeah, well, Galaxian is better, so NAH!

A lot of the videos I’ve seen taken from far off look like fixed wing aircraft getting in line to land at an airport. If you live around Memphis you know what it looks like about 8:30-11:00 PM when FedEx planes start rolling in. If you don’t know what you’re looking at it looks bizarre.

And some of these are guaranteed to be copycats trying to scare people.

Are there some legit concerns with some of these stories….maybe. There’s been several Chinese “tourists” that have been arrested in the last year for flying drones near military bases. Other than that it’s been fairly quiet.
Yeah, i'm in the flight path when they are landing to the north. I'm right on the bluff in DeSoto Co. so i'm used to this as I see it on a very regular. If I don't see it, i'm not "surprised" because I assume they are landing to a different direction. These wouldn't be planes unless it's a new airport that opened and just became active in the last few weeks, otherwise they would be used to seeing air traffic.

Now the FBI is telling residents not to shoot at the drones or point lasers at them out of concern for their own safety. Now hold up. They are not our military. They are not any adversary military. But if you point a laser at0 them you are putting yourself in harms way ?
