OT: This Jaheim Bell post is vile and disgusting. I wish him nothing but the worst.

Uh no, he is not my nephew, Did he run off with your girlfriend? We love capitalism, the young man changed jobs for what he thought was a better opportunity.
Sports is a business for conferences, schools, coaches and players. To think otherwise is naive. If you are starting at a P5 school getting to The League is a dream, goal, and life altering real possibility. Why wouldn’t you carefully evaluate your career?
Based on that video he put out..... I'm betting he can't even spell 'career.'

Honestly, I don't feel like Marshawn is going to be any better anywhere else. Guys like him remind me of J Williams and RJ Roderick, who were hurt more than they were healthy. Perhaps he'll fare better in the Big 10 on the injury front. He wasn't the game-breaking talent we were hoping for, and I think he's pretty easily replaceable on that front.
I get the feeling that we're still experiencing the "frenzy" of the transfer portal being a relatively new phenomenon. I have a hunch, and sincerely hope, that this stuff settles down in the years to come once the new wears off and kids and parents realize it's not the silver bullet they thought it was. I think the statistics say about 40% of those that enter the portal don't get a scholarship anywhere. And since, presumably, the goal of most of these players is to boost their NFL resume at the new school, it's a statistical longshot they will get what they want. How many players are drafted each year, 250ish? And many of those will never make a regular season roster. The vast majority of the 3000 or so players that enter the portal are going to have to make a living doing something other than playing football.

And for what it's worth, I didn't see anything "vile and disgusting" in the tweet. Disappointing, misguided, and perhaps juvenile, but not vile and disgusting. I'll wish him luck when he plays Clemson.

I hated losing Bell because he is such an athlete. But he is replaceable. One thing that I remind myself is that your typical student is just here for the resume. And if they think the grass is greener somewhere else and they have the opportunity to go, then they are going to go. Not everyone grew up bleeding garnet and black like some of us fans did.

Is he your girlfriend? College is college ….pro is pro…..there was a difference. Now not so much.

You think he was evaluating his career with this move? If anything, he was able to show versatility here. What advantage does FSU give currently from an NFL perspective? He left for a little more money. It’s not heroic or some grand career move. You know who threw less to the TEs than SC this year……their mascot is a Seminole.

I forgot…when did FSU become a pipeline to the NFL for TEs? One of the teams lower than us for the past 7 years is FSU. I can see why he went there. College football is hard work, but the beauty was it wasn’t a job. Personally, Bell became a name after two long hail passes in the bowl game. Good athlete…which are a dime a dozen. What game was he a game changer again, I forgot.

We got better at TE today so I am glad his spot opened up. The loss of Kenion hurt us more at TE.

So long Mr. Bell

I'd like to know his SAT score & who did his homework and took his tests at Carolina? I could hardly understand a word of his Slangish. My goodness, is English taught in schools theses days?

I cringe anymore when these kids do interviews on ESPN, SEC Network, etc...you know what they're going to say...coach told us to do this, my players had my back, my boy d'brick'a'shaw' had my back...

why interview players? It makes them look really bad...

Sorry dude. He was grossly misused part of the year. Should he trust he'll be used properly with a new OC who was yet to be hired?

A little more money is a lot of money for those that don't have much money. Until you walk a mile in his shoes...

Taking a shot at his intellect is simply childish and wrong. How old are you? 10?

Lastly- how did we get better at TE with all of our TE's leaving? We have one TE for the bowl game. You are questioning his SAT score? May want to take a look in the mirror cowboy.

I remember my grandpa saying this exact same thing to me and my brothers back in the 90’s.

honestly, i dont blame him at all for going somewhere else. i dont get what all the fuss is about. this video is no different than other recruits. he did not slam USC at all. he's just putting himsef in a position to hopefully become generationally wealthy and help his family big time. he owes me nothing, glad he was a gamecock. wish him well.

I don't get why fans have some battered wife syndrome with players. Why do you wish him well? He's going to play for a competing program. He turned his back on our program and fans. I don't care what his motivation supposedly was. If he didn't have the stones to stay here and compete, screw him. And he does owe our fans. Big time. The fans fund a program that afforded him the opportunity to play football. Screw all this "he doesn't owe us" crap. He wouldn't get to play football if it wasn't for the fans. Fans pay hard-earned money to come and see you play. Fans pay hard-earned money to donate to the program. Heck yeah, he owes the fans. He'd be working some minimum wage job somewhere if not for the fans.

I don't see anything wrong with what he said. It's the system and today's culture which curry this type of mindset, If you don't like it, you need to stop rewarding it.

forever to thee must mean nothing to you then. the guy played his butt off for us over two coaches and bascially three positions and was a massive part of our offense down the stretch. he helped us get to where we are now. so im thankful for his contributions and wishing him a good career moving forward.

"Forever to thee" isn't about fan loyalty to athletes.

Isn’t it ab students of South Carolina supporting each other and their university, alums included? As an alum, I support a student who busted his butt to entertain me and to earn a chance for an NFL career.
