I’m actually anxious for this reply because if “supporting” means offering these girls 6-figure or god forbid 7-figure NIL deals, well… someone else needs to be the one to throw that cash down the paper shredder
Correct. If individual fans want to support womens softball, go ahead. i'm all for it. But the Athletic department doesn't need to throw any extra money at it. Just maintain the status quo.

If we start getting tons more revenue, sure, then go ahead and increase it some BUT NOT UNTIL THEN.

Only a few softball players make truly good NIL money and most of those are outside NIL deals. Canady is the exception at TT, She's banging over a million. We have to be able to give them something. They have to cover their living costs etc. & the top players more. We can find good lower level players and develop them like Sacco, but not if we don't offer competitive money. But if you notice "we're a developmental program" is the theme with all our sports. We're not the increasing revenue to be more competitive in anything.

What are you even talking about? You somehow weren’t allowed to renew your tickets?
They shorten the timeframe to pay for tickets and dropped it on us right after Christmas. Then, after they saw they screwed up because renewals fell off, they came back and tried to give us extra time but that was too late. Don't double my costs and then tell me I have half the time to pay for it right after Christmas. It was very poorly planned.

They doubled the cost of the tickets? What was the increase, and when was the deadline?

I'm willing to bet when the numbers come out that the revenue for mississippi state compared year over year doesn't change that much from previous ADs to Selmon. What change is there will have a lot more to do with our football program sucking than it does with Selmon. And selmon didn't hire moorehead or kill leach or promote arnett.

Also, selmon is doing a great job at fundraising.

Our softball stadium isn't old and we darn sure shouldn't be sinking tons of money into softball at the moment.

Take soccer and compare it to softball? All time fan support and thats related to 2 things.
1. being good.
2. james armstrong and nick zimmerman hustled their a$$es off going to frats and sororities, etc trying to get fans to come. Maybe softball should try that?
Might work, feel like the softball team would love to go into a sorority house.
