Not quite. He wasn’t even the #1 rated recruit in PA that year, it was Rucci. Now, he has developed into a fantastic player and the rankings would change if they were made based on current performance. On a side note, remember when people were freaking out with this PA recruiting class that Franklin was dropping the ball? Besides Harrison, who on this list has had productive college careers to this point? There’s time for them, but no one except Harrison has made a big impact on their programs and several have transferred or are in the portal.

So much for dominating the state. More like getting dominated in the state.

Trotter. Dippre has done well enough at Maryland to engineer a transfer to Bama.

Looking at top pa recruits Has Anthony Ivey played at all. Surprised to see Talley ahead of Carter.

Georgia has make OSU kick some field goals in the 2nd half or there going down.

I overlooked Trotter. He has played. Some of the others haven’t seen the field much including Rucci. McCord has been buried behind Stroud. Jeudy and Davis are in the portal. Some of the others, quite frankly, I don’t remember or recognize the names. The point I was making was that perhaps we were criticizing Franklin too much for not landing some of these guys and going outside PA for more players? Franklin identified talent pretty well for this class.

Lonnie White opted for baseball so our top PA recruit was #14 in the state.

It sure would have helped to get Flemming in 2000.

Good thing we got Singleton last year or the trend would have continued.

Ivey just enrolled last June. I’m pretty sure he redshirted this year.

Yes. And he signed with my beloved Pirates. So, if he develops into a top talent player they will trade him before they have to pay him big money.

It was a dumb slogan. Many took it to mean cleaning up in numerical terms on the best recruits in the state. Makes no sense when there isn't enough talent in the state to compete at a high level. But when the best recruits in the state are going elsewhere that's not good.

Harrison wasn't the top recruit in his class, either nationally (Caleb Williams) or in PA (Kyle McCord).
My bad. He was #1 in Ohio and #12 Nationally. I thought he was #1 at one point. Either way he was blue chip can’t miss all the way. We are talking about Zach btw.

edit: 247 indicates he was #2 national at one point.

Yes and no. It needed to be addressed because the best players in the state were going elsewhere before he got to PSU. I agree that some took it wrong and get bent out of shape when PSU gets higher rated kids from other states. I think, for the most part, this staff has done a really good job of balancing keeping the best PA kids and recruiting more nationally.

Don't want to speak for LB99, but pretty sure he was referring to Marvin Harrison. Hard to consider an Ohio kid (Zach Harrison) who went to OSU a "miss."

If Ohio State holds on and someone bet on TCU and Ohio State, how happy are they tomorrow? PS this person is not me, just want to know the actual odds...

Gotcha. Jr never had interest so I hadn’t really thought of him as a miss. Pretty sure at least Zach took an official but yeah I’m drinking. Back to the game.

UGA better wake up
tOSU is in a lot better health than when the played UMich. It is not surprising that they can pass the ball on UGA. What is interesting is that tOSU DEF has been able to slow down dogs. IF tOSU wins, TCU DEF is actually more suited to slow down tOSU than UGA defense.
