Well, the last time PSU played Iowa in football, we won 31-0. So, combine that with tonight and PSU beat Iowa 61-8 in both sports combined. I can understand why they are chapped.
I wonder if it bothers O$U homers when they see Snyder with this group? I hope it does.
Seems Iowa did alright against Carter without having to use Arnold. I give credit to the Iowa wrestler, but Carter looked flatter than a pancake in his match.

Tom...do you have the takedown numbers from the match? During the broadcast the season takedown totals for and against were shown and the announcers were seemed amazed at the discrepancy !
I agree Carter S. seemed a bit disinterested....might that had come from his expected match against Arnold? He may have been pumped to dismantle Arnold and become slightly deflated against Ferrari? I do feel Ferrari wrestled well.

They are trying to catch Arnold. He got about a three hour head start on them running away.
I have never seen anyone like Mitch. Not even Jason Nolf had the pace and attack rate of Mitchell. DeSanto had the pace but not the attack rate against top guys. I could 100% see him teching every single guy this season.
I posted last year that MM is like the mosquito when you’re trying to sleep. Relentlessly annoys the crap out of you. And not a lot you can do about.

Carter has been known to take the cautious approach in close matches. Ferrari did wrestle well and he has his brother’s one legged defensive style down pat. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Ferrari had come out with the urgency that he had in the last half of the third.
Yeah, I was trying to keep the Cliff Notes to a, well, Cliff notes level. Anyhow, a couple of other diversions seem to pique their interest too.
Bo Nickal pumps up Kirk to possibly beat Steveson. They don't like that. They believe that will enrage Steveson and he will destroy Kerk. Now, most rational Penn State fans know that Steveson is the favorite and very well will win. If and when he does, expect the Iowa fan base to take a victory lap as if he were theirs.
David Taylor's international record is more impressive than is Cael's. International wrestlers don't know who Cael is. Somehow, they must believe this will translate into Okie State overtaking Penn State. What that has to do with success at Iowa even if were to happen is...? That seems like a very serious bout of coping.
