Setting this up awhile as we've reached the time of year when some schools and conferences will release their 2023-2024 wrestling schedule. Penn State and the Big Ten are usually later than most, but we can, in some years, start piecemealing it together early.

Would not expect to learn Big Ten dates until September at the earliest. Which, I've never understood considering basketball home and away info is already out.

Also, Penn State won't be at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Vegas in December. Which, I wasn't expecting. But, did check out of curiosity. Bucknell will represent Pennsylvania there while Ohio State, Purdue, Northwestern, Michigan, and Nebraska will be there from the Big Ten.

Princeton's schedule is out. Big Ten programs Rutgers and Indiana are on it. Penn State is not.

The Lions are also headed to Maryland for a Big Ten match.

Are we expecting PSU to release their home/away opponents today? Seems like a lot of other B10 teams have this information already.

Well, I thought so, but a handful of schools, including OSU, MSU, and PSU, have not yet, not has the conference, so I've just been doing my best to piece it together.

You would think PSU will most likely be hosting Ohio State this season based on the fact that we have a dual with them every year and it was at OSU last season.

Yes. That would be my guess. Trying to confirm.

The other two should be Ohio State (home) and Michigan State (away).

[Minny, Purdue and Illinois have announced their schedules and no Penn State,]

It appears there are six locked opponents (OSO, Mich, MSU, Ind., Rut, Md) plus two crossovers for each school.

Just a heads up for anyone checking in late: Haven't been able ot confirm these yet, but agree 100 percent with Fink. Hopefully we can lock those in tomorrow.

That leaves us awaiting official word of the Ohio State match location though, as noted above, it'll be at Penn State.

Greg,
The 11-2 dual record against Lehigh you cite in today’s article is from 2007 to present. Penn State started wrestling Lehigh in 1908 so the reported dual record is missing almost 100 years of history.

Looks like Penn State will head to the Journeymen Classic in Bethlehem in November. Working to confirm.

Thanks. I looked all over creation yesterday for something like that and couldn't find it. Lol.
Long Island lists itself online as wrestling Sacred Heart and Buffalo so they won't be one of the Lions' opponents.

Lock Haven just released its home and away duals, and Penn State is not on its schedule this year.

Greg - does this mean that Penn State is wrestling in the Journeyman Individual tournament or the team duals? Has PSU confirmed it?

Not that I was really expecting them to be there (would have been nice), but PSU won't be at the Keystone Classic. U of Penn, Drexel, VT, Indiana, Utah Valley, Sacred Heart, App. State, Duke, F&M, and Harvard will be the participating teams at this year's Keystone Classic.

Will have a story up later, but Penn State is headed back to the Black Knight Invitational at Army in September.
