I don't really follow the WPIAL being out east, but for P-R to start 1-3, finish with 12 straight wins and a beatdown of Imhotep is outrageous! Final score was 28-14.

Which players of interest might JF be viewing?James Franklin is at the Imhotep, Pine-Richland 5A game this evening. Currently 7-7 nearing half. On the P-R first drive, they had a 4th and goal on the 1 and the center hiked the ball by the QB and got nothing.
Southern Columbia beats Westinghouse in 2A 37-22. That is SC's 6th straight title and 13th overall.
I have a friend whose son went to SJP, but wasn’t on the football team. He said they were recruiting kids from D.C. and the west coast when he was there. Also, I’m pretty sure Sacca’s kid lives in NJ also?I have always heard that about Prep. Then again, I have heard that about the public schools as well. I think this is called ineffective complaining that I am doing. I just dislike the dominance of St Joe's Prep because I know for a fact they offer scholly's to kids from NJ. They are like a junior college where they can draw kids from where ever they want.

You know, you may be on to something. For HS wrestling, they have a Prep Nationals tournament for the private schools. I have yet to figure out how they determine which schools compete in the PIAA State tournament and which ones go to Prep Nationals, but the Prep National tournament includes private schools across state lines. If that could be set up for football, it would eliminated the public vs private consternation and it would be one heck of an entertaining playoff tournament .SJP should be playing Bergen Catholic, who is the best team in Jersey and smoked Don Bosco Prep in their final. Make it a Mid-Atlantic championship game. I would watch, and maybe even attend.
The reclassification is what really pisses me off. So, your kid isn’t good enough to dominate their own age group, so you hold him/her back a year academically so that he/she can compete against younger kids? What a bunch of BS. Who does that really benefit? The kid or the ego of the parents and coaches? It isn’t just football. We have been seeing this in club lacrosse the last two years because we are at that age group where the reclassification happens (just before the kids enter private schools as freshman). You show up for a tournament and the kids are supposed to be 14 or 15 and they look like grown men. It happens in all sports at all the private schools. Wrestling has it’s fair share of this nonsense also.St. Joe's Prep is like Kramer competing against kids in karate class. They recruit, reclass, and spend.
Yeah, I can’t stand when a travel/club/AAU tournament is by graduation year and not by birthday. Every time I see one of those I know that there are at least a quarter of the kids who are reclass kidsThe reclassification is what really pisses me off. Most, if not all, youth club lacrosse tournaments are by graduation year. The reclassification game runs rampant.Yeah, I can’t stand when a travel/club/AAU tournament is by graduation year and not by birthday. You heard wrong and stop with the total exaggerations. They have some players from across the bridge ,but most within a 15 mile radius of the school. People just want to dismiss the great job the school has done with their program over the years. They have always had players from NJ.I have a friend whose son went to SJP, but wasn’t on the football team. He said they were recruiting kids from D.C. and the west coast when he was there. Just relaying what someone who has/had friends on the football team was told. Not exaggerations. Either way, any team that has kids on the roster from out of state shouldn’t be eligible to compete in PIAA.You heard wrong and stop with the total exaggerations.
