Wish I could have seen Pistol Pete in action - I'm only old enough to have seen highlights and some behind the scenes, documentary type stuff. Seemed like a real technician of the game. So skilled and creative - and worked his tail off to get there.

Clark is great too. Also a technician of the game. And a generational talent.

Both can be great and appreciated. Numbers are just numbers. Fun to debate, but no one has to be put down to build the other one up.
Got to attend a (New Orleans)Jazz vs Nuggets game in Denver. Nuggets had David Thompson and Dan Issel. Nuggets won in OT. Both Maravich and Thompson went over 40.

Watching the old videos and snippets of Maravich, and John Roche for that matter, is like discussing the jfk assassination without seeing the zapruder film. Maravich was a real life globetrotter except against guys that were actually trying to stop him.
