I know it would not be an improvement this year but Lockhart, Lewis, Smith and Work need to start getting playing time on the OL. I know they will get whipped but it's an investment in the future. Same with Head Hibbler and McClendon. Which tbh they already have played some.
You think a rebuild is the same as a contender? Arkansas hasn't looked good either. We signed one of the largest portal classes in the country. We wouldn't need to do that if your boy Leach had done his damn job.

Thats still different. Arkansas made a big jump but the majority of their staff stayed on the job. Its a little easier to know what holes you need to fill and how to go about filling them, when you've already worked with the players and in the program.
Lebby and Company came anew. They had to evaluate the talent on hand before they could fill in the gaps.
There is still no excuse for how theyve filled in the gaps so far... but the 1 year turn arounds are not the norm.

I thought Arkansas made a lot of offensive changed from 23 to 24. OL coach for one. Isn't the OC different also ? Lebby added a handful this off-season on the D. Not sure any of them are any good tho. Blanton Kpaka KBJ and 3 or 4 DBs

And in actuality, Lebby didn't run off freshmen. He ran off sophomores and juniors (who could be playing). So you're right.

Again im not defending lebby. The product on Saturday is all that has to be said about Lebby and the job hes done so far. But we were 4-8 last season and had one of the weakest rosters in the SEC. We werent going to flip it in one season....... but again Saturday was beyond belief bad.

Arizona was on year 3 with their coach. Who went 1-11, 5-7, then 10-3.... Not a 1 year build... good try though

Guess thats the first definition we need to figure out. Everyone adds from the portal. But the program wasnt completely overhauled by the portal. Neither was Arizona's. They have some of their guys in place and built into the system..its not entirely built out of the portal.
We havent had 2 years to rebuild. Is the point. You cant blame Lebby for Arnett issues.
BTW: if their depth chart is correct only 8 starters on Arkansas are portal guys and 15 of their top 44.
we start 10, and have 17 on our 2 deep.... for comparsion purposes...
so not sure how arkansas is portal built and we arent...
Fisch had a losing record year one. That didn't happen. Last year was year three bud. Arkansas almost lost to UAB. They lost a ton of guys to injury last year. They returned a lot of players this year too. They had a base to build on.
we have not added a defensive player in two years through the portal, cut the BS. Arkansas has a new rb, qb, receiver, de, lb, safety three O line starters. They have improved markedly , we are horrible. What are you talking about

The problem is expectations. The fan’s expectations are a long ways above what we’ve seen so far. Lebby should have said we are building a program. It will take time. We are deficient in most areas. This year is going to be about getting the first building blocks experience. If he’d said something near that he wouldn’t have as much heat and we would say it’s worse than we thought but I had no expectations of winning anything anyway.
Yes we have absolute busts everywhere. Who could not start for Milsapps. They have sec starters and some future nfl players. See the difference

Again im not sure we are discussing the same thing. Sure arkansas filled their holes much better than we did out of the portal. But they have the advantage of being on year 5 and knowing EXACTLY what they need out of the portal.

I agree, i want more and better. And saturday was unacceptable. But a 1 year portal rebuild doesnt happen. You claim arkansas and arizona are and were.. and they werent.... colorado tried it, didnt work well..

Arkansas did a better job of evaluating players out of the portal but what they did isn’t really a rebuild either. You’re arguing a point he’s not making.
They improved a tremendous amount by bring in good players in the portal, their offense is definitely a rebuild. They supplemented their D at De, lb and safety. They are a heck of a lot better.
So is Goat. He/she keeps whining about these mystery stud players that Lebby supposedly ran off but has yet to name any.
