Social media is the bane of our society. It encourages provocateurs, narcissists, and the truly ignorant to have a platform to expound their non-solicited “opinions”. One’s mental health significantly improves when avoiding X, FB, etc.Gatorade's marketing department really missed a golden opportunity by not developing a special Gatorade flavor variety for the "keyboard warrior/athlete". Slogan would be, "for the dedicated fan living in his mama's basement, who never played a down of football in his life, yet can beat Tom Landry in Techno-football every game, we have the sports drink for you to keep hydrated while you type your wisdom all over social media since you are the greatest coach who ever lived, but no one listens to your drivel"...![]()
Given all of that perhaps the coach should refrain from using it.Social media is the bane of our society. I agree with you 100%, which is why I never got involved with those platforms to begin with.Social media is the bane of our society. It's not "coach" he has an internal social meeting team that puts out these things on his social media platforms. Just like all CEOs, Presidents, etc.Given all of that perhaps the coach should refrain from using it.
At the coach's direction or approval. In any case, he can instruct his "team" to stop posting should he determine it's in his best interests to do so.It's not "coach" he has an internal social meeting team that puts out these things on his social media platforms. Fair point, but we have established Franklin's real talent is that of a marketing leaning CEO. He doesn't appear to call defense or offense on the field(or if he does firing MY was the wrong guy), so this is kind of what our "coach" does.At the coach's direction or approval. Not sure that I agree, but if so, that's a huge problem.Fair point, but we have established Franklin's real talent is that of a marketing leaning CEO. He doesn't appear to call defense or offense on the field(or if he does firing MY was the wrong guy), so this is kind of what our "coach" does.
His happy talk has worn thin. Only his fan boys listen to his crap and believe it. His X post invited people to take shots. He has become a PR disaster. His high school coaching rah rah BS is an insult to thinking people, so they are pushing back. Good for them.Fair point, but we have established Franklin's real talent is that of a marketing leaning CEO.
