Perfect spot for an art museum.
Continue the $72 MM project already underway at The Arboretum. The Eric Barren Grand Cathedral of The Arts (and such).
Then build a second art museum on the former site of Beaver Stadium at a cost of $150 MM. The Eric Barren Even Grander Cathedral of The Arts (and such).

Yeah, here’s the first story I’ve seen it:Barron’s last day officially May 8th (instead of June 30th) but no proration of salary or bonus. Also staying on for a one year “consultancy” at current base pay.
Wow. That's a bargain for PSU. A pittance for a consultant with that type of experience and vision. He's almost a volunteer.Yeah, here’s the first story I’ve seen it:
President Barron To Enter One-Year Consultant Gig Following Retirement
Following his last day in office on May 8, Barron will remain active within Penn State's administration as a consultant while President-elect Neeli Bendapudi takes over.onwardstate.com

So PSU is paying the new president $1.3mm p.a. and she needs a $900k caddy. Hope none of yinz have kids planning to go to PSU in the next 5-10 years.
They’re going to exumate I.M. Pei to build the State College equivalent of the Louvre. It's my understanding that the art collection is so vast, and the expected visitor count so high, that they will connect the two entities to create one large building. Of course, that's independent of the upcoming land grab made possible by covid lockdowns.
I can’t believe you omitted the word “pedigree” from your list of complimentary adjectives.Wow. That's a bargain for PSU. A pittance for a consultant with that type of experience and vision. He's almost a volunteer.

What's Lubrano's problem. It's a true sign of mediocrity for him to not recognize, acknowledge, and reward true administrative greatness. In this age of bloated administrations and administrators in higher education, PSU has been blessed during the Baron years. They have not been barren years. A toast. From the article:
”The Board of Trustees widely supported the terms surrounding Barron’s future following his retirement. Only Trustee Anthony Lubrano abstained from Tuesday’s vote.”

Bob, I see that you're coming around to a sensible position on this matter. Refreshing.Lubrano should recognize barren’s efforts to make PSU more affordable.
And the real estate transaction:
I see no mention of the purchase price. Perhaps PSU will burn these apartments down to the ground after purchase and will then have dumbly build new ones at ten times the cost.

Imagine getting paid over a million dollars a year, and you need the old guy to also make a million bucks to show you how to do your job... what the f*ck are these idiots doing?
Lubrano, I will give you some credit for having the ball to not vote yes. That being said, you are still a wuss for taking the abstain route instead of voting no on record. From the article:

They act the the government - like there is an endless well of money so need need to ever be fiscally responsible.
Barron probably wanted to make sure they don’t start cutting corners at the museum in order to save money.
It's not fair to her. His tenure has been one of epic greatness. An obvious issue is that Neeli likely will not make any significant changes with barren looking over her shoulder, if she were so inclined in the first place based on her mindset and given the bot.
We’re screwed.
