Don't see this as being controversial assuming that the work is put out for competitive bid.

But who writes this ****** text? An example:

"this upgrade to our building at University Park will ensure the next generation of nurses are confident in their skills and will have experienced a nursing education that mirrors the needs of the profession.ā€

Ensure? A building will do that? Or maybe it's a place to distribute protein shakes.

How about simple, declarative English sentences describing what PSU will get for its money?

Was Lubrano there and did he wear his letterman jacket?

I always have to ask.

Well, when you consider that the review and approval was to take place at the closed door Executive Session it's actually pretty good. The meeting was scheduled to be called to order at 4:15PM followed by a vote to accept the previous meetings minutes. Next on the agenda was the modification to the Nursing Building, which with any review wouldn't have been called to a vote until at least 4:25 or so. I'm guessing, based on Stamfords post at 4:49 they had just 15 minutes or so to make this happen, so the write-up is actually pretty good.

For those that missed sarcasm, this thing was approved before the board ever met. Now, who gets the contract?

For those who did not see the meeting (which I expect is 99.9% of the folks on the board) the interesting part, IMO, was at the very end - and not any part of the published agenda.
