I'm setting this up in advance, so that everyone has the info. I have a very busy Sunday, so if I don't set it up now I'll never get to it..

Please use the thread for all pre-match, in-match, and post-match discussion for the PSU - Lehigh dual.

When:
Dec. 8, 2:00 pm EST

Where:
PPL Center, Allentown, PA

TV:
None

Video Streaming:
Those that are FloWrestling subscribers should be able to stream the coverage

Audio Streaming:
The radio PBP, with Jeff Byers at the mic, will be streamed for free. The pre-match portion of the broadcast will begin at 1:40 pm EST, with the actual dual taking place at 2:00 pm EST. GoPSUsports.com changed their web site, and I'm still trying to figure out how to get the URLs in advance for the audio stream. (I won't figure it out by the time of the dual.) Go to:

gopsusports.com

Lion Vision

gopsusports.com
gopsusports.com

Once there, click on the button to the left of Wrestling: Lehigh

PBP:
I'm out for PBP, as I have something else on my schedule. (I even passed up free tickets to the Eagles game, as I couldn't get out of my prior commitment.) @GregPickel is in Indianapolis to cover the PSU - Oregon B1G Championship Game. I'm not sure if his travel plans will enable him to provide much coverage of the dual. (Hopefully, @GregPickel will pipe in to clarify.) I hope others will also contribute. As always, I remind folks that provide PBP to include scores for each dual, as well as the match score.

Evening all. So here's the deal: We're going to obviously have the CFP reveal before the dual at Noon, but until Penn State and the CFP set the media schedule for the day, it's hard to say what my availability will be. I plan to write a recap, but in terms of match by match, it will entirely depend on the football schedule for the day.

I will update everyone Sunday morning once I know more.

Still waiting on today's schedule, by the way. The CFP will be in charge of scheduling and running Franklin's news conference today, not Penn State, so we are unlikely to know the final answer until closer to match time.

Luke is so freaking quick. Needs to open up more in the 1st period. Good win against #16.

We just don’t have that fire power Bonus guys this year. We have a few but you need 6 or 7 guys you know are going to bonus ranked wrestlers. Not sure if we break our points record this year at Nationals. Will see how things go

It’s something they can work on, although I don’t know if Cael focuses on getting bonus points. He focuses on technique … but good technique leads to bonus points with added aggressiveness.

It’s early in the season. PSU starts out a little slow every year and peaks every year at the right time. I think the proof is in the pudding. Plus if you watch Lehigh. They are wrestling defensively and on the edge of the mat looking to keep the score close.

Penn State star Mitchell Mesenbrink dominated Thayne Lawerence at 165 pounds. He used multiple takedowns and near fall counts to beat the Mountain Hawk by technical fall, 18-1, in 4:37. The Nittany Lions lead Lehigh 18-3 after six matches.

125: Luke Lilledahl vs. Sheldon Seymour

After the pair each secured a takedown to make the bout 1-1, Seymour shot late and Lilledahl quickly countered and slid behind Seymour for a late takedown to win, 4-1. The Lions lead 3-0.
That doesn't make sense, Takedowns are worth 3 points???

Leading 7-0 in the second period, Penn State sophomore Levi Haines locked up Rylan Rogers in a turning combination and decked the Mountain Hawk at the 4:12 mark of their 174-pound match. Penn State leads Lehigh 24-3 and is rolling after halftime with three bouts to go.

The thrill of victory and the agony of reading about it online.*

Carter Starocci beat Lehigh's Jack Wilt 15-1 by major decision at 184 pounds. The Lions were penalized a team point after the match. So, Penn State now leads 27-3. It is currently unclear why the Lions lost a team point as reported by the program's official account. But it was assessed to Starocci, per Brad Wilson of Lehigh Valley Live.

Byers is unsure of why the point was deducted as the broadcast rejoins ahead of Barr/Beard.

I love Carter’s skills, but his High School Harry Hor$#!t is tiresome.
