No doubt...get those couple of extra days to recover coming off of the opener. Many suspected that would happen. If you're going to play on Thursday, the opener is the best time to do it.
I like it, fewer Purdue fans in the stands
No way....A$$. BEATING! PSU by 10, you heard it here first. Clifford's got this!Seats empty or seats full, Brohm is still a genius. This is what we’re up against.
I don't know who they have to replace David Bell, but they usually have one game wrecker on offense to contend with. PSU was lucky in 2019 when Rondale Moore was injured and didn't play against Penn State.Seats empty or seats full, Brohm is still a genius. This is what we’re up against.
IIRC, half of Purdue's team was out for that game.I don't know who they have to replace David Bell, but they usually have one game wrecker on offense to contend with. PSU was lucky in 2019 when Rondale Moore was injured and didn't play against Penn State.
Your kidding right? Place is going to be sold out, plus a night game is going to make it that much tougher.I like it, fewer Purdue fans in the stands
Yes, the stadium is right in West Lafayette and in walking distance to food and beverage opportunitiesConsidering going. Is the stadium right in town? Walking distance to eateries and drinkeries? Thanks AKB!
Indeed it is and I will be there. I've been promising a Pitt friend I would go to a Pitt football game with him and I agreed to that one. When I agreed to go I jokingly told him I chose that game because I didn't want to miss a Penn State game and we never play on Thursday nights. I am sure I will be hearing from him soon.Backyard Brawl is same night..
Call him the morning of the game and tell him you overdosed on stuffed cabbage the night before.Indeed it is and I will be there. I always stay in Indy or Carmel. West Laff is a dump.Hotels in the area must be ticked. New date didn’t give them time to adjust rates. Book now as the rates will skyrocket.
We like to stay close to explore the campus.I always stay in Indy or Carmel. West Laff is a dump.
Agree. Been to Purdue 6 times I think. it’s not in the top places to visit in big 10, but over the years it’s grown on me. Staying at Hilton garden on wabash landing. AWe like to stay close to explore the campus.
Scotty’s closed two years ago unfortunately. Hate it, was a solid sports bar with good food. Whenever we’d go up to visit my in-laws over Christmas I’d always stay there one night to “get my hilton nights points bonus” (aka drink and eat at Scotty’s watching football instead of hallmark and the news).Agree. aways stay there, convenient to stadium. Scottys sports bar right next door, triple x is iconic burger place, mcgraws steak and seafood on the wabash is good, Bruno’s for Italian, Harry’s is the bar of choice for the alumni.
MaconNitt and I already booked a hotel and will take the clubs with us.So who is going? Might be worth it. There is some surprisingly good public golf courses in Indiana and I thought a good bargain for the type of courses.
Names of some of the good public courses??So who is going? Might be worth it. There is some surprisingly good public golf courses in Indiana and I thought a good bargain for the type of courses.

Noon kickoffs suck.I like this. Avoids the 11AM/noon haziness we have grown accustomed to over the years.
Who said we won’t be hazy by kickoff? (MaconNitt and myself after a shot clock extravaganza!!)I like this. Avoids the 11AM/noon haziness we have grown accustomed to over the years.
@Raise Up Lights Wow. Thanks for the info. Did anything replace Scotty's? That was so convenient . Bruno's is close by.Scotty’s closed two years ago unfortunately. He'll have to. The defense might give up 30+.No way....A$$. BEATING! PSU by 10, you heard it here first. Clifford's got this!
I just looked and something called Wolfies Grill has opened in its place. Must be less than a year old. Rated 4.3 on google maps. Looks like they might be trying to do a Scotty’s. Hopefully it’s good enough for a few beers and some food as I’ll definitely test it out this Christmas to “get my Hilton bonus points.” Haha@Raise Up Lights Wow. Thanks for the info.
