OK, the bet is on. I don't know why you have lost faith. The coach and coaches do not accept mediocrity. The players are developing and I think you can honestly say that were it not for the incredible receiver Harrison and the unbelievable playoff #44, we would have won that game. So, it's not like it was a blowout; it was our luck of a few key disruptive people. Parker Washington played a great game but we still need that burner who can cash in on long balls. On the defensive line, you know we need to make people bigger somehow and still keep them athletic. That is what OSU has that we don't. Singleton's speed needs to be brought to the forefront. He' a burner and they're trying little flare passes, but what has happened to those long runs. I know he can't do that all the time, but I am very tired of seeing him plow into the line and get 2-4 yards, sometimes a few more. Allen is the better back right now. If Singleton could run like Allen, holy **** would we have a tandem.
So, this is not pure mediocrity as you state. It's a few pieces missing here and there. Why we can't get the same type of kids OSU gets is a mystery unless the OSU kids are taken with poorer grades and the lure of NIL money, which I abhor but am going to have to get used to.
Hang in there, MacNit, but find a way to get your faith back. Maybe you losing the bet to me will help.
