Get Allar in the game for more than a series. We need to get him meaningful playing time this year.

I am assuming he is our 2nd best QB ....
I told the staff this morning that the BWI board really likes Allar and he should play more. Franklin said...

"Thank you for your input", and the uttered under his breath the following:

Call me dramatic based off a small sample size, but there was definitely something there on the series Allar played. Yes, the missed opportunity to run for the first down on 3rd and 5 - but, on his two completions the ball really does naturally "pop" from his hand. And the ball to Warren (should've been caught) was an absolute dime. And the first down throw, he avoided the rush (ugh Wallace) with that smooth forward step with the underneath ball swivel - you can tell he has athleticism for how big he is. Small sample size yes, but man, there is definitely a spark in his game. There is a noticeable difference to Allar/Clifford's potential/aura/game. Lots to get excited about.

Clifford is what we know him to be - an absolute rollercoaster ride. Had some momentum and he airmails an open receiver and we almost lose the game. Only to put together a confident ace of a two-minute drill.

Buckle up boys, going to be a wild season.

Despite last night's roller coaster of emotions taking 2 years off my life expectancy, I think you stick with who wins the games (for now). If SC gets hurt or we're up 3 TDs late in 4Q, then Allar.

But no doubt Allar is going to be special.

5 guys watching.. 4 of us wanted to see a LOT more of him last night (one guy thought he looked unsteady... we just kinda stared that dude down lol). It was pretty apparent Clifford was having trouble planting after that cheap shot and had NO wheels which, with Sean, is a huge part of his game and what imo makes him effective. Remove that element from his game and he's pretty pedestrian. Toss in an injury and he's really compromised. Missing a wide open tinsley on the fly that turns into what could have been the game ending TD could almost have been predicted.

So while we're screaming for Allar, Sean comes out cool as cool and guides us almost too quickly in for the winning score. So much for armchair QB's lol. But this isn't going to be the end of Sean's injury troubles and I'd like to see Allar (and Veilleaux as well) get some reps cuz we're very likely to need them both down the road.

That throw to Warren that Tyler mangled was one of the prettiest you will ever see... the play development to the side and then a perfectly thrown ball across the field into double coverage.. a harbinger I hope of things to come. That aside, all props to Clifford for hanging in and willing us to win... it was a special moment. [Hafta feel a little bad for O'Donnell having that kind of night/loss on his birthday (and taking a sack as the clock ran out... ugh).]

Let's be honest, given Cliff's past, he won't survive this season. You will get Allar. Let's give a few games to get acclimated. We have Ohio, Auburn (not must win in grand scheme) and Central Michigan. Cliff can beat NW if D stops the run game. At Michigan is the tough one. We need accurate passing to have a shot.

My plan...play Clifford until the game is out of reach, he gets hurt, or he struggles and we need to make a change. Never a good idea to go into a game figuring it's an easy win and deciding to go away from a normal game plan just for the sake of getting someone else experience.
