One of the injured is the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon. Now what was he doing with one of those Hezbollah pagers......

For sure.Instantly one of the most infamous acts of espionage in history.
"we are sorry there are 13,163 people in the que before you"Imagine the calls coming into that pager’s customer service hotline
Maybe I need to quit sleeping with my phone near my bed. I had a Samsung battery swell up on me one time and it was hot as fire. At the time I never knew they could explode or catch fire. Israel probably just looked into how cell phone manufacturers design them to malfunction over time and heat up to wear the battery out. They were probably thinking "lets just have the pager install 10,000 updates immediately upon our signal".These pagers were manufactured for this purpose. Can't wait to read how and where it was done.
From a good source in the region, I understand these pagers are used throughout Syria, Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq.
Think about where our electronics are manufactured and be ready for an adversarial Chinese government to attempt a similar stunt on us and or allies at some point.
He was spying on Hezbollah****One of the injured is the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon. Now what was he doing with one of those Hezbollah pagers......
I don’t think they had to do much screening to see which ones needed to be detonated. It’s fairly safe to say that anyone who buys a pager in 2024 is 100% a terrorist….or a drug dealer.Israeli counterterrorism is the best in the world. I would guess they infiltrated a supplier and installed an explosive charge of Semtex in either single, targeted pagers, or blanketed with many, and then traced movements and/or communications to decide which pagers should should be detonated.
Pager? Is this 1993?
When we were on rotations in med school, we kept paging one of our classmates with the number for Danny’s as the call back number. Wonder where that would rank?Instantly one of the most infamous acts of espionage in history.
Hospitals still use them.I don’t think they had to do much screening to see which ones needed to be detonated. It’s fairly safe to say that anyone who buys a pager in 2024 is 100% a terrorist….or a drug dealer.
They were tampered with either on manufacture or in transit. They had a small amount of a hard to detect explosives and a switch in them. The company that supposedly made them had purchased a license for the brand from a Taiwanese manufacturer two years ago. The company is called BAC. It is registered in Budapest. Nobody seems to know much about them. Nobody can contact them since this happened either it seems. That all came out overnight. This one has got future movie all over it. My guess is that company doesn't really exist, outside of the Mossad.Maybe I need to quit sleeping with my phone near my bed. I had a Samsung battery swell up on me one time and it was hot as fire. I think it’s fair to say it was NOT a good day for whoever had those pagers.I wonder if they were Drunk as hell, but no throwing up and half way home…
Ans: Supply chain attack. How do you cause thousands of pagers to blow up simultaneously? Please keep politics out of this one. At least let the question be answered before you post something that will get it locked.
Or their wives/kids who are now required to carry the pagers and stand at a distance.I think it’s fair to say it was NOT a good day for whoever had those pagers.
Today it seems that Hezbollah's walki talkies are exploding. Three dead and many wounded.
Wonder when the last time was that they sourced their toilet seats?
Airplane mode, bro****Your cell phone pretty much tells anyone with the proper equipment and know how where you are. That's why Russia had to ban cell phones from their invading troops in Ukraine as Ukrainian intelligence was using their meta-data to paint targets.
You sell pagers with explosives in them. And trigged to explode when a certain number is displayed. How do you cause thousands of pagers to blow up simultaneously? Please keep politics out of this one. At least let the question be answered before you post something that will get it locked.
They blew up cellphones and used them to track people 10 years ago. Which is why the switch to pagers and walkie talkies.I wonder if Mossad came up with this plan after they moved to pagers, or if they had inside people pushing them to move to pagers, knowing they could do this.
