Respectfully, you are wrong. I am like that lady. Yes, I've set my phone alarm to remind me of upcoming games (especially those with odd start times). I do watch every game. When I can't be home, I watch the replays. Even if I know they did not win (and even try to analyze what may have gone wrong). For people like me, there is no off season. I scour athletic sites for updates and how the the next season should play out. And I still manage DO have a life outside of UK basketball. People like us do exist.

I just did a home inspection for a sweet elderly UK fan here in Florida. She has memorabilia all through the house and a flag out front. She said she is disgusted with the state of the program and that her mother, who lived to be 105, never missed a game on TV and would sometimes set her alarm if she had to, in order to wake up to watch. She said she was optimistic about Pope when he got hired but that he clearly isn't up to the job. I even tried to console her with the upcoming football season and she said "I don't know anything about football."

Not sure how I am wrong and quite frankly I am just like you. You missed the point on me saying I know several people who have rooms full of UK paraphernalia and couldn’t name 3 players from last years roster. The amount of UK memorabilia doesn’t make a true fan. You can bet those folks will know the roster when the team is in the Final Four though.
