But the answer is pretty simple: we want to know that the program can be competitive against other elite programs. And what he’s shown us for 10 years is that a) it isn’t and b) he doesn’t really seem to care that he can only beat weak opponents and lays down for the big dogs.

Exactly. For me it's when is Franklin (and his $85 Mil contract) gonna beat OSU or Mich? Day proved yesterday he can coach-up a team that is depleted of it's major starters. Franklin hasn't come close to that.

Well, Mrs KG and I went to the Columbus Crew game. They won, finishing third in the division. And it was Fan Appreciation Night, and I was selected to get a "jersey off their backs". And the Phils and Jackets won. So--good night after a bad afternoon.

I had a social engagement planned so wasn't able to watch the game, though I followed the score a bit. Glad I spent time with friends and had fun, there's more to life than football. I'll leave my thoughts on the game to other threads after I watch it (it's easier to digest and less emotional when you know the outcome)
