Pretty epic.

"When I came here we were happy to win a game. Now we're not happy to win a game anymore. We're not happy to win a game at all."

"...to get criticized for what they work hard for to do so that you can be entertained"

"have some gratitude"

Saban has said the same thing before. He is a whiny ***** when he loses. He never says things like that after a win even though the fans view things the same.

lol, well of course he's not gonna chide fans for being happy after a win. His only defense was of the players, not himself or the staff. I can get behind that.

Well, I've heard him remark about fans' expectations before, even when there was no game. But losses like this are fraught with emotion and lead to greater demonstrativeness.

This comes across like the ramblings of a hypocrite to me. Saban is a great football coach but he's also a total jerk of a person.

He will berate players over anything and turn around and say stuff like this? So the moral of the story is -- I can demand excellence but the rest of you need to zip it and just keep sending the donations.

The point is a good one. However, not from the guy delivering it.

Similar attitude I had growing up about my little sister. I can say whatever about her, but you do it.....and you are going to have problems.

This video is not new, it's been around for a while. Some of these comments make out like this was after this weekend loss. 🤨

I think this was last year when fans were whining because they weren't beating the **** out of everyone and merely "just winning". Saban was spot on with this. Some fat ***, big mouth keyboard badasses getting on social media and call in shows bad mouthing players and complaining because they weren't winning by "enough" . LMAO.

His wife has said there's no joy in winning at Alabama, only relief.
I think that's how it gets, and it's a shame. I know I get that feeling now with our WBB team, and I even felt that after beating UConn in the final, a direct result of the loss we took to Stanford in the final two years before.

The reality is that the pursuit of greatness is what's most fun for the fans. Once you're on the mountaintop, fighting to stay there isn't so much fun. It's just expected. Wins are no longer eagerly hoped for, but expected. Look at how we felt after beating Kentucky compared to how a Bama fan would feel. It's part of the double-edged sword of succeeding the way that Alabama has.

It's got to be grueling for the players.
