Seemed to me that his pitch location was improving. Only had 50-some pitches.

he was in no way fooling anyone. We are lucky that they kept hitting it at someone.

Well, he was also unlucky defensively. Some of those "hits" should have been caught.

Florida is going to hit the ball. Routt was keeping it in play and giving the fielders opportunities to make the plays, which is what you want.

I'm all about winning NOW, but still needed him longer.
