and he is an unknown at best when it comes to recruiting. I would put him in the Stansbury or less category. Not one person on that least is a sure equal.

Please get back to working on that corndog flavored condom and leave MSU alone.

You'd take a 254-163 (.609) coach in a weaker conference over a 207-113 (.647) coach in a stronger conference?

you want to replace stans with steve alford b/c he went 24-9? He went to the NIT. We went to the NCAA tournament.

If you are going to knock on Stans as "king of the west," at least knock on Alford as the queen of the lower tier conferences.

Surely you are yanking our chains and don't honestly believe this.

Stans has a higher (much higher) win %. He's won a major conference championship. Alford hasn't. Alford was shitcanned from his major conference job. Alford's been to the postseason 8 of 10 years. Majority of those are NIT's, which is hilarious that you are counting them as an accomplishment for Alford, but you ridicule Stans about it going to any NIT's.

If you're going to yank our chains, at least make it sensible.

I feel sure he is now. Because he'll need every out he can find after this ball busting.

but, yeah, he'd rack up the championships down in Starkville. Come on, coach. I expected a little better of a list than that. You truly don't have a clue and your schtick is getting old. Steve fecking Alford. That is just too funny.

Steve Alford who had a 61-67 record in the BIG TEN? Are you F-*n Serious.

I would love that hire. Please god hire Alford.

He left Iowa before getting shitcanned. IU fans would revolt if he got the job at Indiana.

As for anyone else on your list except Anthony Grant, that would be a HUGE step backwards for MSU.

Basically you want a coach that is unproven, but might on the off chance be a good head coach, since you believe the proven head coach has a ceiling he can't break through.

I hope and pray the MSU administration is this dumb

Thats just a few off the top of my head...Those guys can easy offer what Ricky offers and probably more...i'll research and get some more.

you suck as a person.

i get to pull a peaches here and claim that i know(knew) Alford when he was here in Iowa. seemed like a nice dude...but a bad overall coach. he had a couple of solid seasons. but he did jack **** overall.
im pretty sure the guy finished out at Iowa with a losing conference record. and he NEVER got the state or the university's fans on his side.
he saw the clear writing on the wall with Haluska graduating, Smith leaving(it was known before it was official), and 0 recruits coming in.
Bobbo Knight got him that job out West, and he had a good season there...IN A WEAKER CONFERENCE THAN THE SEC.

ill agree with you on Grant from VCU. but Alford? F'n Alford?

I don't want Stans gone, but if he were to leave, we should make one call and one call only... to the one and only Stan Jones.

that makes me believe that peaches is actually someone on the staff that's enjoying screwing with the sixpack. I mean, seriously, no one is this stupid. I give up. As far as I'm concerned, you're full of crap.......either way.

Is your life as an ex-coach, current condom salesman so devoid of social interaction that you have to come to a message board and post complete crap just to get a reaction? How you are allowed to still post here is beyond me.</p>

......that any traditional program like Indiana is taking a serious look at him. I just think his lack of post-season success hurts him in that regard, not that he'd want to leave MSU anyway.

I'll have to actually see it to believe it.

....his line of thinking isn't "Let me post this ridiculous ******** to see what happens." He really does wish Stansbury would leave because he thinks Stansbury sucks. And he opened his big mouth and put it out there. To the board's credit, he was challenged on it. His list was the best he could do, and then he proceeds to defend Alford all the way down the page. At the end of the day, he'll realize how stupid he is and try to play it off that he was just kidding. No he wasn't. He's just a moron uses that as an excuse when he can't backup his drivel.
