This would be one of the biggest wins in school history regardless of sport. The rest of our SEC schedule is very manageable.
Yep, defense has been the backbone of this program for a few years now. They're currently ranked #1 in the country in three different defensive categories. The next goal they allow will be just their 3rd surrendered this season. The other 2 goals were both scored by top-5 Wake Forest.
I am nervous, too. I can't believe I'm sitting here on Friday night, watching our girl's soccer team play for a shot against the number one team in the country.
I'm not the most knowledgeable soccer fan but this is pretty standard for a team in the lead. You don't want to commit many players forward and risk any sort of counter attack by Arkansas.

Hail mother-17ing-State! That defense is just smothering. Held the #1 offensive team in the country to only 1 shot on goal, and it wasn't really a dangerous shot. Outstanding job.
That was the most non State game ever. Built up all week to the biggest game in your history and instead of playing scared we came out and put it on them. 14-5 shots at one point against the “better” offensive team despite that crew acting like we were lucky Arkansas was having the worst night of their history. Maybe we are just good cuntshits.
Loved watching that, but as normal, I stepped away for 2 minutes and managed to miss our only goal. Came back in the room and my wife (who wasn’t really even watching) was like, hey we scored.
That's when you reply, "And later tonight, so will you."
