For all emphasis on getting Bell involved, his stats were fairly pedestrian.

This was Game #8 and the FIRST touchdown of the season for Josh Vann, who was the team's leading receiver last year. Even worse, prior to this game, Dak Joyner had ONE rush and ONE reception! Seven games gone by, and neither Josh nor Dak had been given a chance to be productive.

That is downright criminal.

It sure looked like Joyner could be a contributor on offense.

And if you remember the Mayo Bowl, Bell is a talented receiver with an occasional end around. Not a running back between the tackles. Get him the ball in space.

Yeah, I thought it was curious the way they were utilizing him.

Bell is good in space, but he also ran tough between the tackles. Don’t remember him going backwards.

He’s a TE playing RB and averaged 3.5 YPC. I don’t think they did him any real favors utilizing him that way but considering Lattimore only averaged about a yard more per carry it’s probably not bad.

That catch by Vann was incredible. The way he was able to high point the ball was amazing. Out of Spencer's hand, I thought it was a throw out of the back end zone.

A few years back, Joyner was only used in the wildcat and VERY RARELY ever threw the ball and the alignment became as predictable as a Satterfield play (I thought this was appropriate), however, with Joyner's results in the bowl game and the little he was used against Vandy, if they use him as a true DUAL threat, I believe he can be very effective ... and, use Bell as a receiver, not just a RB ... the mismatch he provides downfield is down right unfair, but only our OC does not see that ... our opponents are likely thanking us for not lining him up at receiver or even targeting him (Mizzou game) .. think of the Auburn game last year when Bobo did not use Tank Bigsby near enough ... when they called his number, we could not stop him ... Bobo lost that game for Auburn, just as Satt lost the Mizzou game ... humble thoughts ...

Life is good - Peace!

(y)One of the best plays of the season - that was not a special teams play!
