One thing I'll note is that Truax is, presumably, on west coast time. So, those waiting anxiously for an announcement, keep that in mind.
We almost had him last season. Would be a great addition. Get him in our room I think he has a great shot to win it all.
interesting. There were rumblings at the end of NCAAs that he would take a graduate transfer, but I haven't seen anything more on that since then.
We didn't almost have Griffith last year. He eventually narrowed down to Michigan and North Carolina, before returning to Stanford.
For that reason and because we don't need him, little chance of him coming to PSU. He's at most 3rd priority behind Truax and Nagao. And Mesenbrink might be headed our way at the same weight range.
Ok. I know he did visit with us. Be great at 174 depending if we can afford Carter wrestling next season $$$$
Fwiw, Truax was the name I heard when I posted this a while back. I was told weeks ago it was a 'forgone conclusion' by someone who would know.
So, was Mineo right about Aaron bumping up to 197? I know its a possibility given their walking-around weights. Is Aaron having trouble making 184? I assumed Truax & Aaron were around the same size.
There is a lot of scuttlebutt out here about this right now. It all assumes Brooks does take the Oly redshirt, which is starting to seem less and less likely. Time will tell. Truax can clearly fill either. Brooks will pick where he wants to wrestle. If that's 197, Truax drops down. If not, Truax goes up. That's my opinion on it all, anyway.
That's another thing they'll have to figure out. I just wonder if he didn't miss some matches this year much like RBY because he didn't want to deal with the two-day cut unless he had to. If so, a bump up would make plenty of sense.

Makes perfect sense. The Big Dog should decide what weight he wants to wrestle at.
FWIW,old guy here in Phoenix who wrestled for Gable,says "We have him and the Ferarris". Stays pretty close to the program.

If we don’t get him, I’d hate to see him go to Iowa. That would be tough for the Gophers to lose a top guy to their biggest rival.
That’s not the way it works. Offering crazy money to a mercenary coming in upsets the team chemistry. We have plenty of wrestlers deserving more money on our team currently.
Don't post on HR,do read their stuff. After the Nationals some posters wanted the Brands out. They're emptying their bank account on Nagao and bringing in the 2 older Ferrari brothers,both with loads and loads of baggage.Desparate people do desperate things. I should say only the middle one right now.
Desperate and delusional. They still think everyone should be lining up to go to Iowa. They don’t even realize that train left the station over a decade ago.
So, this makes things very interesting going forward. Facundo, Sealey, Mesenbrink, Haines. How does this all shake out?
I have no idea. But its a great problem to have. He seems like a good fit though.
I'd imagine it'll be some formula of weight changes & RS'ing to make it all fit. Sealey & Haines can redshirt. I don't know about Mesenbrink's RS status.
