Ugly on all 3 aspects of Steelers team. That is on tomlin. So what does he do. Fire his oc and dc to make himself look like he in charge?

Let’s just recap the last three Steeler playoff performances under Tomlin:

2017: lost at home to Blake Bortles, gave up 45 points
2020: got down 28-0 to Cleveland in the first quarter, gave up 48 and lost
Tonight: down 28-7 in the 3rd
But he's never had a losing season.

With respect to football fundamental’s the Steelers look undisciplined and lost. I’m not going to say this is all on Tomlin because I believe athletes need to be held accountable. But Tomlin being the HC catches the most heat. This is not Steeler football.

Well there is always Dwayne Haskins and Mason Rudolph.😝
Omg.
They need to just say the hell with next season and take offensive lineman with first two picks. Then when those jokers screw it up they can take a top qb since they will have a losing record

So Tomlin got no-talent teams into the playoffs.

Gonna get uglier real soon. But hey, at least the blow is softened by the fact Tomlin has never had a losing season.
Is that what it’s become now in Pittsburgh? They’re now satisfied with just having a non losing record for the season? That excuses what is clearly poor play?

It reminds me of Nebraska fans who cling desperately to their “consecutive sell out record” because their team is just a shell of its former self.

No according to NoHow it's because of Ben.

Butler should have been fired immediately after that 2017 game.

No according to NoHow it's because of Ben.
Ben is well below average for NFL QBs this year in virtually every measure.
The team is 9-7, which by definition is above average.
So how do you explain that?

Sorry if I misunderstood. ;)

I’m just tired of hearing the ‘non losing season’ stat as some type of get out of jail free card for what is clearly poor coaching and poor play.

The Steelers have gotten into the nasty cycle of absolutely sucking at a certain aspect of the game and then scrambling to fix it in the off-season. Last year it was running the ball, this upcoming year its stopping the run. There's a lot of pieces on the team to make it pretty good, but again they will have an Achilles heel they need to address. Plus, this year they need to address the qb position. Haskins is garbage, Rudolf is serviceable, but some of the veteran qbs potentially available are intriguing.

QB’s today have no fear whatsoever of tucking the ball and running for a 1st down. They sit in the pocket and know that any contact will draw a flag.

I don’t mind protecting the QB after he releases the ball. I actually agree with prohibiting hard hits after he runs out of the pocket. But this level of protection is over the top.

The Steelers are 9-7-1....not 9-7. And the only reason they won 9 games is because Ben leads the league this year in game winning drives...7 of them this year. Isn't this fun?!

Ben can't move anymore. I've heard he has a bad hip this year, but he's been a statue who can barely move in the pocket for a long time now.

So I was thinking. There were only 7 guys all time with two super bowl wins. Ben is one of them and with two different coaches.
