Not really sure what to say. I kind of gave up after the 2nd failed 4th down attempt in the 2nd half gave Mizzou the ball back deep in our territory after they'd just scored to make it a 9 point game. We went into halftime on fire, but NOTHING was going our way at that point in the game. For the way Beamer masterfully managed the end of the 1st half, his decision-making in the 3rd quarter was amateur hour. It felt like we were coaching ourselves right out of the game. Our D just didn't have like they normally do. It felt like a classic tale of two halves and seemed that old Missouri misery was going to get us again. I was keeping tabs on my phone but couldn't bring myself to watch it. Saw Mizzou go up 22-21 and figured it was academic from that point on. I've seen enough up our games to know how this thing would play out. Looked and saw they were up 30-27 and was about to just put the phone away for good, but the video was playing above the score, so I decide to watch our final drive...on mute.

That last drive just left me speechless. We don't win moments like this. Several mega clutch plays on the drive and then that final run by Sanders, he was just churning and simply refused to go down. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing.

The mentality of this team...to win a game on a night against a very tough opponent when we didn't have our best stuff. Our pass rush was really not much of a factor most of the night, and that's our bread and butter. Much like the 2022 UT game, I'm having trouble processing this win.

Stunned and elated. What a game. What a game.

Well said. I think we all are stunned! Happily so!

I only got back in time to watch the second half. Had some of the same feelings though.

Definitely a game we have blown in years past.

It just seems like good things happen when Sellers makes plays with his feet. In the 3rd, it seems like we became too reliant on traditional run plays. Then, in the 4th, he did one of his Houdini-like escapes from a sack, made a play, and then the offense was suddenly clicking again.

Exactly. Give him a chance to make something happen. That seems to work better than designed plays. And of course, if the original read is open he’s getting pretty darn good at quick throws, too. What a game for him.

Never in doubt!

That’s the running joke between me and my 78 yo dad through all of these gamecock years. And it was the first thing I texted him tonight.

Could you imagine if we were watching Sellers do this stuff at Syracuse instead of here? Wow! He's special.

I was (justifiably) worried about the defense against the run. I was surprised about how they trucked our DL.

It was all Sellers tonight, fortunately, it hasn’t had to be, before, but he showed he can lead the way. Amazing performance by him, the receivers, and the line. Definitely wasn’t pretty. But gritty teams win tough games . Nice to see the offense support the D in this game

Started the first drive of the second half throwing the ball like we were going to run them out of the stadium but then DLogg went back to his old self and ran the same running play they were stuffing all night.
Nice to deliver a game ending final drive to beat Mizzu for a change, particularly after the way they were ragging the crowd when they took the lead.

Point is, this team can win different types of match ups. We have to be pleased we won a game where our “style “ of play wasn’t a match. That’s what good teams do, win in different types of games. You have to be impressed.

Loggains actually joked about this with Beamer...he said maybe just don't call a play...snap it and let Sellers make something happen.

You're talking about the occasion where every championship SEC coach I've ever seen in that field position and with a multi-score lead at that point in the game would have punted the football.
