Whew. Missouri State pitcher gets the better of Hines. L on L, he goes fast ball, fast ball, change up, high heat. Only 87, but changing eye level makes it look faster.

Hines can’t get the run home from 3rd.

Whew. Simmons dodges a bullet after a bunch of walks and HBP’s. A blooper off the end of the bat almost lands in no-man’s land behind 1st.

That would have been 3 runs.

1-1 after the T2.

Again Hines should not be everyday line up guy. He is a liability with the bat. Great glove.. but having that big of a hole in your swing is going to be damaging to us.

Hines needs to be in a platoon role for the rest of the year.

At this point, I’m not seeing the “professional hitter” in Reese that Lemonis does. Although, I‘m not sure about Lemonis’ evaluation abilities.

Hines K’s with the bases loaded and 1 out.

Haha. He’s got no chance on this L on L matchup.
I like the guy. Appreciate him being a bulldog but just do not see what he brings to the table especially against lefties. A HR every 5-6 games is not worth the 10+ Ks.

State’s added a couple runs here in the B4. Several extra base hits.

Pulliam with a triple. And scores on a Cupp single.

He was .972 OPS in conference last year. I don’t have his splits. But that’s gonna be hard to replace.
