They’ll run us out of our own stadium. Just like UGA did. We’ve got amateurs running the program and it shows.
Oh, geez, it’s gonna be like the 1990s all over again. We have zero shot in the game. The goal needs to be to keep from getting embarrassed.

LOL. Georgia basically forfeited offense the entire 4th quarter, and Tennessee still only managed 289 yards of offense.

Playing in that super charged atmosphere didn't hurt but they controlled the los and had an oc who has an imagination., but having 5 stars doesn't hurt that imagination. Thought TN. should have been called for a safety. Sure looked like it. One of the few times I've ever wanted Ga. to win. Of course the others being clemson since they both couldn't lose. Got a spouse with 3 uga degrees, a daughter with 3 and a son -in-law with 2. Other son-in-law is viewed as an outlaw like me, GT.

I'm frequently astounded by how replay officials, with the benefit of numerous opportunities to see plays, continue to blow calls.

That one was criminal. https://www.si.com/fannation/college/cfb-hq/ncaa-football/georgia-tennessee-safety-call-controversy

Notice the final comment in the rules expert's explanation. The entire ball has to get back across the goal line into the field of play to avert a safety. I don't see that happening here.

Want to compare stats against other common teams? Hmm!

That might be useful. We'll also get to see the two offenses on the field in the same game in a couple weeks.

I believe it'll be hard to spin it in a positive way after that.

Georgia called the dogs off in the middle of the third when it started raining. If Kirby had kept his foot on the gas I think Georgia could have scored 50. I was really surprised to see how the Georgia defense shut down UT.

Yep. Spot on. After Georgia's long first drive of the second half that lead to a field goal, they passed the ball only one more time the entire rest of the game. They ran clock and relied on their defense to bring it home.

I was also a little surprised to see how Georgia shut down UT. Please keep saying how the game has changed and college football is now offense first. Nope. Don't believe it. Defense is still king, especially in the SEC.

Heupel 289 yards vs Georgia
Satterfield 306 yards vs Georgia

LOL
Game was at UGA. Crowd was a major, major factor for UGA. Just as the crowd was a major factor for us against A&M…the deciding factor really. We got UGA early in the season and at home.

Quite a difference, but I know you don’t comprehend context.

The crowd is "a" factor in games, rarely is it "the" factor. I don't care when we played UGA and how loud our crowd might have been, we weren't going to beat them this year. Look at the 2018 game. The crowd in WB was bonkers, it was hot as the south side of hell (something we seem to think of as an advantage for us) and the game had been hyped all week as a prime upset special by quite a few of the talking heads. Every single one of the intangibles were in our favor.

UGA came in and beat us like a rented mule.

I remember being down there when we beat them in an epic game in 2001. They had he crowd but the crowd and their team did not prevail. The crowd didn't beat Alabama at Tennessee, either, nor did the crowd beat them the other night. The trip itself has greater effect than the crowd. Our crowd didn't exactly unsettle Mizzou when we were playing our first game as a "ranked" (lol) team. .

Well, I didn't say it was "the" factor against UT in the UGA game. I said it was a major factor, which it absolutely was. Nobody questions that. UT had 7 false starts, attributable directly to crowd noise. That throws your offense totally off. Does UGA still win even without the crowd noise? Probably. Is it a closer game? For sure.

In our game against A&M, the crowd was definitely THE factor. We lose that game without the crowd noise. We won by 6 and crowd noise was responsible for at least 7 points we scored and for killing a number of A&M drives.

To the 2018 UGA game, no the crowd likely isn't going to make a huge difference when one team is really, really, really, really good and the other team is pretty bad. But when you have two fairly evenly matched teams, as in us vs A&M or UT vs UGA, it can play a huge role. Crowd noise bit Bama in the butt big time against UT and LSU.
