That's a lot of speculation and the author is quoting a Russian official as his source? At what price are they selling? And this is going to devastate the US$? While the US is selling more crude that ever?
As far as sanctions, you need to look at Europe. They are the ones that are working to get off Russian gas/oil. Russia can thank putin for trying to blackmail Europe into not applying sanctions. Russia are the ones who threatened Europe by cutting off their gas & they are the ones who sabotoge their own pilelines. Has little to do with trump or biden. It's the survival of Europe and the reality of what Russia is capable of. Even Germany is coming to grips with it.
You can do your own research elsewhere to show they’ve recouped their losses. True, at a lower price. But once they get the BRICS currency up and running, backed by China, they’ll be just fine. I would also point out that the ruble has outperformed the $ sinc the war started.
Oil has been pegged to the $ for decades. When you have Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa buying their supply in other currency, it’s going to make a tremendous impact. Doesn’t matter what we produce. We’d have to replace those purchases lost in US$…and that’s not happening. And it’s being rumored that SA is going to join BRICS as well. But don’t worry…we’ll have global electronic currency governed by the same people that sat on evidence that a presidential candidate was caught up in a Ukrainian bribery scheme.
As far as Europe, they loved Russian oil until the invasion. Remember trump threatening to pull military bases out of Europe bc they had billions in Russian energy contracts. I believe Putins threats to cut off were around him trying to get them to not use US$ to buy oil, but not 100%.
Just to be clear, the US caused the UK invasion. We’ve taken certain actions in the Obama admin and now Biden admin that we knew were red lines for Putin. None of this has to happen. So yeah, it is about Biden.
Explosive bribery allegations involving Joe Biden and foreign nationals were brought to the Department of Justice as early as 2018.
