Fortunately, PSU has 10 teams on their schedule that Kansas State could throttle.
The offense is a complete dumpster fire (despite one of the most veteran offensive lines in the country, the "best TE room in the country", 2 supposed superstar RBs, and a QB that was being hyped as a future Heisman winner).
The defense - which has the potential, IMO, to be very solid - plays grab-azz high school schemes designed to wreck havoc and build up stats against dog teams, but predictably breaks down against good competition. (the same philosophy that has led to several pink slips for Diaz). The performance in the red zone today was clownish.
Diaz will, of course, be off to gr$$n$r pastures in a few months... but the nature of the program (soft, poorly-prepared, poser) is unlikely to change.
It is what it is, obviously.
