Cal, Indiana and Ohio State are on par with SMU and Pitt. We are trying for top 75 as you say we are not. Missouri also plays Valley, UAPB and Eastern Washington (looked at their schedule for 30 seconds).
Elite may be the most irritating terminology ever. Especially when used 75 times in a thread.
we were talking about home games and attendance. I realize everyone is getting in these tournamenet type deals where the schedule may vary on who you play and things of that nature.
But the games we schedule are awful. And again i know you are tossing those names around like they are the same. They arent. Missorui plays 2 teams in the net 300. We play 4. Its a big deal, and it will effect our net rankings all season long.
We can schedule better than 4 top 300 teams and another in the 200s. There is a LOT of difference in the no name schools you play in basketball. Playing no-name schools like Vermont, Grand Canyon, Lipscomb, Troy, Stetson... who are still no names. Are no names in the 100s and 200s.. not 200s and 300s... and make all the difference in the world with the net rankings which effecting seeding.
But as the grumpy old man mentioned elite. You want to be elite.. you better find some of those schools to play. And it may mean you have to go on the road, or give up a 2 for 1 to get it. But thats the step of rising to the top.
