Bill is worth following given the proximity to excellence Ohio State enjoys with us, but this article is a bridge too far. The Buckeye Nation seems to be the last to know that roll on a tidal wave of hype, distorted bias and entitlement that is only surpassed in Ann Arbor. The year Elliot rolled the Tide is the only national title Ohio State earned the old fashioned way, the way we did a handful of times with undefeated teams amongst our two national titles from 1968-1994. Only Nick Saban at Alabama rivals that run in the modern era. Yes I am aware of the Miami pass interference game...

So this time I am not on board with Bill's sentiment.

As far as I know, OSU wasn't screwed over by the refs. There was no obvious incomplete pass which was ruled an interception for Georgia. The Bulldogs didn't get a free FG three seconds after the play clock expired. UGA made the plays they needed to make to take the lead. OSU shanked a potential game winning FG. That's the way competition goes.

South Bend says "hey there," and Tuscaloosa says "hold my beer."

Let's cut to the chase -- this should be the final standings this year:

1. Notre Dame -- because their fans say so.
2. Alabama
3. Winner of Georgia-TCU
4. Ohio State
5. Loser of Georgia-TCU
6. Michigan
7. Utah -- because Herbie likes them.
8. Who cares?

Does OSU go looking for another new DC after giving up 45 and 42 points in their 2 losses? I didn’t see much improvement this year over last year.

Average rated offense ohowihate faced this year was 78.3.
Tops were - UGA 8, UM 25, PSU 34, Toledo 55, Maryland 56.
That’s if I used the correct ncaa site.
I therefore agree with you, not seeing the huge improvement over the past. Two years in a row that you finish the season giving up 40+ points.

if Tulane holds USC to less than 40 points, then we need to leak to the PSU beat writers that Franklin has the DC on his list to replace Diaz...that should do it

they should but Franklin did an excellent job of steering Day to Oklahoma State last year, they might not fall for that again
