“Camaro” is the SC state vehicle of rice-farming rednecks — narrowly edging out the F-150 and any Mustang or Dodge.

She would definitely flop like a fish out of water.I want to add that what separates the men and the women more than anything is strength, speed, jumping ability etc. Clark has the talent to shoot with the big boys. Put her in a three point contest with the boys and it wouldn't surprise me if she wins.
Put her on the court with the guys and she would't get open if they are playing man, she would have trouble getting her shot off and she would physically get beat up. She would also struggle on defense. She could possibly play with the guys as a zone breaker / spot up shooter, but these players have become dinosaurs.
mehI’d trade every accomplishment in every other sport for an SEC title in football. Just me. I enjoy our men’s basketball and baseball, but a conference football title blows everything else away.
I guess "lesser" means different things to different people.I agree it's a different game, but I can't argee it's not "lesser". Avg vs avg, or top vs top, the women could not compete well vs their male counterparts.
Football has been secondary for me for decades.Agreed. 5 years ago I would’ve been 100% in agreement. But with the way college football is going it’s becoming less and less the “end all be all.” I was having a conversation the other day that, unless something drastic changes, I really would be ok with putting all our eggs in the basketball basket and letting football be secondary.
We have a football team?Football has been secondary for me for decades.

I have never been to a women's basketball game. I watched their first NC game on TV. I watched bits and pieces of the 2nd. I'm glad they are a national elite power. I'm mostly a football fan. But I do keep up with the men's basketball program. The women? Not so much.Certainly. Some will be talking about coaching, or effort. Talent at one aspect or another. (Like shooting)
When I say it's "lesser", I'm speaking more to the point that the ladies as a whole, are slower, weaker and less athletic than the men.
Actually, a female, Sabrina Ionescu, has the record for makes in a 3 point contest. Now, the female ball is a little smaller, but she has the most makes with 37. Steph Curry has recently said he wants to shoot against her. He probably doesn't want to shoot against her to prove any male superiority that some try to push, but to show off some of the skill of these females. Still don't get it why some men are so threatened by females over a game that is supposed to be fun for everyone. Talking about beating a female in a basketball game is sort of like a man bragging about beating a girl in a fight. Doesn't sound so good when I put it that way, huh.She would definitely flop like a fish out of water.

Insecurity is why folks post insults about women's basketball.Actually, a female, Sabrina Ionescu, has the record for makes in a 3 point contest. With LSU's spending a lot on NIL to compete, I am not surprised by that. They tend to focus on NIL way more than we do, but we run at a loss as well. Not as
So, why bring it up? I don't know of any females that have said they are better than men at basketball. So, I don't understand that some men go on this way. It's a ridiculous argument, and makes you wonder if there is some agenda in bringing it to anyone's attention.I don't think men are threatened, and I think claiming that is trying to insult them into shutting up.
You are right about the sports/fight analogy though. Neither one is worthy for bragging because neither one is a fair competition.

What is there to agree about when no one made the argument in the first place. ....and since you continue, and you said what you felt, I will as well. You go on this way because either you are insecure in some way as a male or you are jealous of our women's team success and don't want other men to talk about it. So, you come in and make stupid superiority arguments to belittle the female game for whatever reason. Seems you are incapable in putting their game in their category over here and putting the men's game in their category over there. It's like saying we shouldn't have a Lightweight Champion in Boxing because there is no way he could beat the Heavyweight Champion. So, there are categories in male sports as well where one can't compete with the other. You can say what you want though. It's not making anybody change their minds one way or the other. Don't get your little point, but keep it going if it makes you feel better. So you agree that women can't compare to men physically, but just don't want people to talk about it?
I'm glad you at least agree, as I feel it's a pretty obvious take. (And its a step up, imo, from just throwing out the "non athlete" insult to the people who espoused the idea.) But I think it's a losing battle asking people not to talk about sports topics on a sports message board. Better this than politics at least.

LSU can't spend money on NIL. NIL payments are generated by fans or businesses, but not the university. The article mentioned that LSU's coaching salaries is their biggest cost and double the revenue. With LSU's spending a lot on NIL to compete, I am not surprised by that. Yep, I get that mixed up sometimes. They are paying Mulkey top dollar and coaching staffs/support personnel are bloated these days. We run at a loss for the same reason, however, I don't think our deficit is that large.LSU can't spend money on NIL. NIL payments are generated by fans or businesses, but not the university. I'm done. I forgot what my parents told me. Don't argue with fools. They will wear you down and beat you with experience. If no one made the argument, who are you whining to?
Interesting that i hold an opinion that makes me "insecure or jealous", and yet you freely admit that you hold the same opinion. ( Can you actually point to a supposedly "jealous and insecure" post of mine on this thread that you don't agree with? I get the impression you're not real clear on which poster you're responding to.)
And I'm sorry the subject, a subject you say you agree with, bothers you so much. Life must be tough for someone so fragile.
Now go back to telling us about your 4 td's in one game, Al.

That's a fact! I caught a couple of Zion's games. It was insane seeing him out there with a bunch of 5-8 160lb white boys. Nobody knew what the hell to do with him...most of the time, just watch. It is irrelevant. Old boy is the one that turned me into a White, Walk-on player without knowing me because he didn't like what I had to say. If he knew anything about basketball, especially in this state, the best players usually get taken by the private schools. Zion played at a private school. I think Porter-Gaud is a private school and Khris Middleton, Aaron Nesmith, and Josiah James ended up there. So, some of those private school white kids probably played against better talent than me even if they got beat up by a 100. LOL!!!
Oh stfu. You got anything better to do?I think that's as close as I'm going to get to you admitting you got the wrong poster. To bad your parents didn't also teach to just own up to your mistakes.
That HR I hit in State gets longer and longer the older I get!!I know a staggering number of people, men mostly, whose lives peaked in HS and they can't let go of that time in their life. I also know a few who can't let go of college. These are people in their 40s and older, it is really sort of pathetic.
I don't think that's accurate at all. Maybe in a 1-1 matchup with an average men's player CC would win. Our NC winning women's teams are getting hammered by the mediocre men's teams in scrimmages. Nothing against them. It's just different. Same with the women's national soccer team getting run off the pitch by U14 boys teams. I will concede, CC would likely destroy me 1-1.I agree with you and to further my point there are some women who could play with the men. Case in point Caitlin Clark, Asha Wilson, Ju Ju Watkins at Southern Cal.
Agree. Her game would just be lurking around the perimeter and ripping quick, open shots. She wouldn't be able to create anything.I want to add that what separates the men and the women more than anything is strength, speed, jumping ability etc. Clark has the talent to shoot with the big boys. This is probably close to the truth. SOME women could hang with SOME men in a 1-1 matchup but I think those would be rare occurrences. Any HS boys championship team would absolutely destroy the Carolina WBB team.I don't think that's accurate at all. Maybe in a 1-1 matchup with an average men's player CC would win. The zip line.
