So, the ole Devil when I am not running hell is an O-Line Coach by trade. I am going thru spring myself right now, and I am all fired up about it. So I got to looking at States schedule for next year, as I am sure we all have. That brought me back to reality. I thought let me see what the others have to say, and maybe I can regain some optimism. Yeah right.

Southern (At)- W (If not then give up here.)
ASU- L (They have a way better coach than us.)
Alcorn- W (Love their band.)
NIU- W (I know they beat touchdown Jesus, so save it)
Tenn- L (With or without the flying Hawaiian they stomp us.)
AM (At)- L (We do play well there sometimes, but that does not matter this year.)
Florida (At)- L (Only Gators get out alive.)
Texas- L (Another Manning to whip our ***.)
Pig (At)- W (Sometimes we play well up there, and dad has to give us one right?)
UGA- L (What's that coming down the track? An *** whooping.)
Mizzou (At)- L (If it were in Vegas maybe.)
OM-L (But a moral victory, hopefully their season will be done by then.)

So, 4-8. That is a 2 win improvement I will have you know.

I think State starts 4-0 and loses out. Maybe Missouri ..... but unlikely.

This is how I see it too.

And the bltch of it all is that we could be significantly better than last year and still end up with that record.
True story. I think in reality if we ended up significantly better, somebody on our schedule will surprise to the downside and we'd end up at 4-8 or possibly even 5-7.

But what I am expecting is us not being sure if we've improved at all while on our way to 3-9 with lots of blowout losses.

So you’re really an optimist. That’s interesting considering your SPS line of work. Nothing but pain and darkness.

I think 4-8, which is kind of a neutral outcome for Lebby. I think ASU is beatable but hope we can split that and Ark. anything over 4 is a good year.

In the age of unlimited transfers and the ability to pay players every year thinking anything over 4 is a good year some heads at the athletic departments should be chopped. Cohen had his issues, but he would not have put up with this below average ****. If he was still here Lemonis would be gone and Lebby would not be head coach. He would have gone out and got a known coach. He hired Leach and Selmon went and got an unproven OC who hired an unqualified position coach to be the DC.

He put up with below average NIL, which is driving a lot of this

Arkansas offense will be better than last year , Green the QBis a senior and this is Petrinos second year, expect a big jump. 0-8 in the sec. I think Southern Miss is going to be a real tough game.

NIU is bringing some holy water from their win over ND last year. They plan to sprinkle it on Lucifer and watch him suffer.*** I would have to say we better beat our instate rival from the burg because we ain't likely beating the other one from OxPatch. Of all the OOC games, NIU worries me the most. I think we get up for AZST, but if we don't get up for a non-name program like NIU, then Toledo and them will have something in common.

Nil has nothing to do with the hiring of the coaches.
NIL has a helluva lot to do with hiring coaches. It’s one of the first questions candidates ask when considering a job. Do you have the funds in place to acquire talent? If not, I’ll take my chances with my current position and wait on a better job to open up.

It obviously does, but was primarily commenting on the main part of your post that asserted:

Southern Miss game will tell the tale. If we lose that game (and Charles Huff will have them ready to play), we're staring at another 2-10 and Lebby will have to go

Lot of truth in this. He also hired Jans, which was a good move.

He made his mistakes early, by overthinking Mullen's replacement for sure. But I doubt he'd have made that mistake again. I do think he would have promoted Arnett, but he'd have kept the interim tag there and told him to keep the offense. I also think he'd have whipped Lemonis' asss in shape and we'd be a lot better than we are now in baseball.

You do know that Cohen was set to hire judge right and some others had to step in and reached out to leach agent…??? Cohen was in full panic mode and others had to take leadership to hire leach. Cohen almost fired leach before he coached a single game.. cohen and leach didn’t see eye to eye..

We are losing to USM. Better go ahead and prepare yourselves.
So we had a top 25 HS class had a top 15 portal class but we didn’t improve yet everyone else did??? Am I understanding you guys? Marshall didn’t want to pay Huff so he took a lateral job.. let’s make sure we understand facts about the state of affairs cause you and others just throw mud on the wall hoping it sticks
And all this love for Dillingham and he was 3-9 his first year at ASU with a blowout loss at home to Fresno State 29-0… but he turned it around. I guess that can’t be done here right??

I was told by a retired ex-educator that for anyone to receive a college degree 50% of their classroom hours had to be from 1 school. I asked him was he sure about this and he said yes. Does anyone know if this is correct. If true, there will be a lot of college athletes who will never have a college degree.
