You do know that Cohen was set to hire judge right and some others had to step in and reached out to leach agent…??? Cohen was in full panic mode and others had to take leadership to hire leach. Cohen almost fired leach before he coached a single game.. cohen and leach didn’t see eye to eye..
You come on here all the time butts hurt going all in for the AD and Coaches. Maybe you one of them or maybe you do donate 100K a year to the athletic department and buddies with them but you sure act like your feelings are hurt because Miss State fans are not happy about a 2-10 season. Someone is going to get the blame every single time. What you don't get we just want to win. I hope I am wrong about Selmon. I have met him twice and enjoyed listening to him speak. I hope he is successful. I hope our football team under Lebby goes out and just kick *** game after game. I hope I am wrong about him and his DC. I will gladly come on here and admit I was wrong, way off base and eat all crows' *** I have to. I want to win and don't care who the coach is. However, if our football team only wins 2-4 football games Selmon has to make some moves, or he needs to be gone. His moves better be right. If Lemonis doesn't turn things around, he needs to be gone and Selmon don't make that move it will give more Creedence that he is weak and doesn't know how to fix things.

Side note, but I don’t know that Judge would have been all that bad. He is a hard-nosed disciplinarian and likely would have completely delegated offense and defense, ie would have been the CEO type. Which we’ve never really done. I’ll give Cohen credit that he was trying to things like that that we’ve never tried. That’s why he wanted the passing offense like Moorhead and Leach.

We all want to win but this constant BS that things were better internally when cohen was here is laughable.
2-10 sucks! It hurts but it’s Damn hard job when the two guys before Lebby neglected recruiting for 2 years. It’s a damn hard job when our former AD wouldn’t embrace NIL like the other SEC schools. It’s a hard job when our fan pushed back and didn’t want to donate money for NIL.
Some blame could go to Lebby that’s understandable most should be laid at the feet of Emerick, Dudek, leach and Arnette for not recruiting at all.
To act like I’m ok with 2-10 is short sighted. I’m not and neither is this administration. But they got the NIL rolling, recruited there asses off in the portal, added some better coaches on the defensive side of the ball and most importantly are committed to winning. I bring up Dillingham as a great example of a coach who inherited a terrible situation at ASU. Went 3-9 his first year including a home loss to Fresno State 29-0. He then went to the playoffs year two. No im not saying we are a playoff team but we will be better than we were in 24.
Just look at the bigger picture and not just what you think is going on.

While Cohen was here, we went to several bowl games and won NC in baseball. I wasn't fan of Cohen, but I have a strong feeling he would not have hired Lebby or kept Lemonis around. Again, you are trying too hard to make Selmon into a good AD. Next season will tell the tell.

Arkansas offense will be better than last year , Green the QBis a senior and this is Petrinos second year, expect a big jump. 0-8 in the sec. I think Southern Miss is going to be a real tough game.
If Southern Miss is a tough game for us, I'm checking out, pulling the plug on the magazine, and letting you guys have it.

I was told by a retired ex-educator that for anyone to receive a college degree 50% of their classroom hours had to be from 1 school. I asked him was he sure about this and he said yes. Does anyone know if this is correct. If true, there will be a lot of college athletes who will never have a college degree.
I'm not sure if it's 100% true but yes, you can't obtain a degree from an accredited university unless you spend a significant portion of your academic career there. Like more than one year, typically.

I just hope we can get off the field on 3rd down. Everyone on our schedule is looking at last season's defensive statistics in penciling in our game as a win.

Also, it looks like Southern Miss had a spring game that was only 5 minutes per quarter with a running clock. So it looks like they're probably pretty thin in most positions.

I don't have to wait 'til next season. He's clearly a novice and I don't see him growing into the job by then.

Look at it this way, Charles Huff could possible be our next coach if his team performs well that day.

His roster moves/additions look pretty good.

No they have a pretty impressive upgrade from their portal moves, I think they are hiding their talent from getting raided by big programs. A lot of teams are not wanting to show what they have in the spring.

Yeah. I think people expecting us to beat Arkansas are going to be in for a rude awakening. Southern Miss should be a fairly easy win. If we struggle in that one it’s even worse than I think it is.

Agree with the latter for the most part. I think it’s mostly a desire to just treat the spring game like a scrimmage.

The talent for the most part is known— a lot of Marshall transfers with a sprinkling of others some of whom from SEC schools.

It should be an upgrade for Southern Miss but State should beat them.

Way back when... yes this was the case. You had to pass your upper division 64 credit hours at that institution to get your undergrad degree.

Your first 64 hours (freshman soph years) can be here there and yander but not upper division credits

I assume it is still the case.

I worry about our defense. I feel offense will be pretty good.

If
Southern Miss game will tell the tale. If we lose that game (and Charles Huff will have them ready to play), we're staring at another 2-10 and Lebby will have to go
we are scared of Charles Huff then I don’t know what to say. We will beat them by 20 and go on to win 4 games on the year. Honestly, name a coach from our past other thanMullen and Leach that could win 7 games this year for us in the sec. I’d pick Leach every time btw because Mullen always laid a turd in big games in the SEC.
