Well, I don’t think many will dispute the reality of Penn State having zero chance against OSU this Saturday if Clifford doesn’t have a great game.I hope he has 5 or 6 more performances as good or better this season, starting Saturday.
They should start Allar - this kid is clearly holding the program back. Clearly, all other Big Ten schools were not playing this week.
To give the appearance of being impartial, the B1G gave it to Clifford this week because next weeks OPW has already been decided.Could make the case Stroud had as good or better a game against Iowa (20/30, 268 yards, 4 TDs) as their pass defense is ranked slightly higher (11) than Minnesota's (15).....
I mean, that's what people want when they start threads like this, right??
Watched that game and Stroud was pretty pedestrian in the first half (yes, iowa had something to do with that... and it looked the entire osu team was still asleep). So I'm going Sean for the win!Could make the case Stroud had as good or better a game against Iowa (20/30, 268 yards, 4 TDs) as their pass defense is ranked slightly higher (11) than Minnesota's (15).....

Not zero. I'd put their chances at less than 10%.Well, I don’t think many will dispute the reality of Penn State having zero chance against OSU this Saturday if Clifford doesn’t have a great game.
You think it was to protect him from injury (with osu on the horizon).... to hope that osu doesn't prepare for him to run because he didn't run vs minny... or... after the big run vs michigan he never seemed quite the same (maybe gassed or his legs cramped up?).... i'm leaning toward reason 1 but it was obvious he was not supposed to run vs Minny.Well in Clifford’s defense our playcalling and scheming has left a lot to be desired, not only this year but throughout his entire career.
While better Sat, it’s still awfully vanilla compared to 90% of other Div 1 teams.
And our receivers have dropped more than their share of catchable balls over the first half of the season…..nice that that changed vs Minny.
BUT
I posted during the first half on Sat that both QBs could easily run and pick up decent yardage. Minny’s QB ended up 7 carries for 45 yds…it seems as though Clifford was told not to run: 0 carries for 0 yds. I think a repeat of his UMich run was there all day.
I think this is the reason he did not run. starts at 3:40 markYou think it was to protect him from injury (with osu on the horizon).... to hope that osu doesn't prepare for him to run because he didn't run vs minny... or... after the big run vs michigan he never seemed quite the same (maybe gassed or his legs cramped up?).... i'm leaning toward reason 1 but it was obvious he was not supposed to run vs Minny.
BTW, this is usually about the time we start forecasting that our plain vanilla schemes have been used to lure osu into a false sense of security... but come Saturday the REAL offense will be unveilled and take the CFB world by storm. I keep waiting for it to actually happen.... like charlie brown and lucy with with the kicking thing lol.
Great point. Booing him is sh***y, no other word for it.I assume that there were dozens of recruits and families at the White out. I wonder what they thought when the fans booed Cliff?
My perspective from sitting in section EB is it is mostly the student’s booing . It may be that most are younger than Cliff and Allar’s their boy. Who knows. Still bad look and it is a good question.I assume that there were dozens of recruits and families at the White out. I wonder what they thought when the fans booed Cliff?

Probably not far from the truth if OSU wins. Media perception wise, the Big two little eight has changed to the Big two "little twelve".To give the appearance of being impartial, the B1G gave it to Clifford this week because next weeks OPW has already been decided.

No reason to boo anyone. I am sure whatever the recruits thought of the situation quickly went away when the NIL discussion was had.I assume that there were dozens of recruits and families at the White out. I wonder what they thought when the fans booed Cliff?
they may as well know now what azzwipes our fans areI assume that there were dozens of recruits and families at the White out. I wonder what they thought when the fans booed Cliff?
Love how CJF announced it today And his response to the question on it was even better.
A few have taken up residence herethey may as well know now what azzwipes our fans are
That they expect a 30-year old 9-year starting senior to not stink up the place? Sean did well after initially struggling mightily. Doesn't change my view that Allar should have been starting early on in the year, with Clifford not seeing the field again ... but now that we're this far into it, we need to live or die with Clifford ... and I'm happy he came through this weekend.I assume that there were dozens of recruits and families at the White out. You’re entitled to your view, but unless you’re at every practice, in every meeting room, weight room, film room, training table, etc… I’d rather trust the decision to those who are there. There’s a reason Cliff is the starter and I trust CJF to play those who give us the best shot at winning. That they expect a 30-year old 9-year starting senior to not stink up the place? throwing a season away to build for next year isn't much of a strategyThat they expect a 30-year old 9-year starting senior to not stink up the place? Not at all.throwing a season away to build for next year isn't much of a strategy
What a wonderful way to say and shove that up your ***.......and like it,
Allar would have given us the best chance to win THIS season. And he'd be that much more seasoned for next season.throwing a season away to build for next year isn't much of a strategy
