9. Was not sure why CJF went for it with a deep pass with foru minutes left - but then again that beat the spread, and I figured he either took PSU and the points or he wanted as many points as possible to impress the committe who will rank everyone. I will assume someone is in his ear about how other teams were doing - I did see during the broadcast that someone would get in his ear about something, and it always seemed to occur when something happned in one of the other games (like Clemson losing).
My assumption was that he just wanted to make sure the CFP committee didn't have an opportunity ding us for a close win against MSU. Also in today's football offenses can score quickly and in bunches. The definition of running up the score certainly isn't what it used to be, teams need a higher point margin now to be safe.

10. This was the way Sean deserved to go out. Hit his last 13 passess in a row, threw four TDs, and no ints. He has 84 TDs and with four more, can pass the often hated Chad Henne for 3rd in Big Ten history.
I thought Franklin might sub Sean off in the 4th so he could get applause from the fans. But many fans also have booed Cliff at times, so perhaps they didn't want to risk it. For those that were in attendance, what was the fan reaction like when Cliff was announced for Senior day? I hope he got the raucous applause he deserves.

Regarding #8, I thought I was watching deja vu all over again. A mediocre QB absolutely shredding the Penn State defense, throwing can't-miss darts, and looking like a Heisman contender going up against a middle school team. I saw Luwerke (twice!) and Darnold and Barrett and a few others absolutely shred the Penn State defense, and I had a sinking "Here we go again" feeling,
I was more having PTSD from their WRs. They made some great catches during that stretch. It reminded me of Felton Davis from a few years ago where we simply couldn't stop him and MSU marched down the field to win in the final minutes.
