Reeeeeeeeeach.

Nothing has changed with Leach. The target has been 8+ wins since the end of last year. Don’t get caught in the moment over this Ole Miss baseball thing.

I believe all eyes will be on Leach to provide MSU fans something to be proud of finally in his tenure. That’s especially true given that fans now have to endure this CWS thing. We all need a great and exciting distraction and unfortunately for Leach, he’s the first act on stage to do that.

This football season is setting up to be one of those weird Leach deals where he overachieves and has us on the doorstep of something truly special. But he will lose the Apple Cu .... Egg Bowl.

Summer time content, so yeh it's a reach. There is absolutely nothing going on right now, so I don't envy anyone that has to come up with content right now.
Feelings about football among the fan base will be based on football results.

A few of you can keep saying that but it does matter. It matters for a majority of the fan base. Y'all are starting to sound like delusional ol miss fans that say we don't matter.

It matters what State does against Ole Miss. It most certainly matters.
But, to say there is more pressure on Leach because Ole Miss won the world series, that's just a reach.
Maybe there is more pressure on the athletic program in the eyes of all fans all sports to step it up. But, if Leach has a bad season, Ole Miss going on a three week run in baseball should won't have any impact on the evaluation of Leach.

The Egg Bowl can make or break you if you have a borderline season, but if you are good otherwise then the Egg Bowl matters a lot less.

My issue has always been the segment of the fanbase that would rather go 4-8 and win the Egg than go 8-4 and lose the Egg. That’s insanity to me.

The pressure, or lack of pressure, on Leach doesn't have a damn thing to do with what Mississippi did in baseball. That's a huge reach. It has everything to do with his record the last 2 seasons, Mississippi's record the last 2 seasons, and 0-2 in the Egg Bowl. That matters.

There is pressure to beat Ole Miss. Lose to them three season in a roll his seat should fire up.
