Thought I’d share an example of a simple demonstration of gratitude. You want a Penn State decision maker to honor Jay Wright?
What we got was the hockey stick wearing pearls' son bragging..."my mom fired Joe Paterno."Thought I’d share an example of a simple demonstration of gratitude.
Thought I’d share an example of a simple demonstration of gratitude.
Yeah, I know.Thought I’d share an example of a simple demonstration of gratitude.
Perhaps gratitude is weakness. Maybe that was the cultural flaw from which they promised to save us.barren and Sandy laugh at gratitude.
barren is staying on for a year to teach Neeli said laughing.
But, in their defense, they still have Joe's name on the library.
Jay Wright loves Endicott Steel.Jay Wright loves stripes.
Who let this guy post? See @TomMcAndrew - this is why we should redshirt posters. It's incredible that the basketball coach retiring from another school triggers anger about Joe Paterno here. Do you guys ever just get tired of getting mad? This has nothing to do with Joe and yet people are upset today over Joe because the Villanova basketball coach retired.

SMH.
Why are you assuming anger? It's incredible that the basketball coach retiring from another school triggers anger about Joe Paterno here. Do you guys ever just get tired of getting mad? Why are you assuming anger?
Do you guys ever just get tired of getting mad?
Why are you assuming anger?
This is not about getting mad. It's about a quest for justice. Many here, including me, believe Joe Paterno was wronged by those in power at Penn State. We believe he deserves to be honored. That is our goal. The passage of time does not diminish our efforts, it strengthens our resolve. This thread provides an opportunity to remind others that our efforts will continue. It's incredible that the basketball coach retiring from another school triggers anger about Joe Paterno here. You misread the intention of the OP. He made it clear that this was not about Jay Wright but about "an example of a simple demonstration of gratitude." It was about Joe Paterno. His intention was clear but you failed to see it.So everything that happens in college athletics is about Joe? Again, this was the Villanova basketball coach retiring and it's been turned into a "Joe Paterno never got his" thread. It's insane and it's why people call our fanbase a cult.
Two points for you:It's incredible that the basketball coach retiring from another school triggers anger about Joe Paterno here. Do you guys ever just get tired of getting mad? This has nothing to do with Joe and yet people are upset today over Joe because the Villanova basketball coach retired.
What does this guy retiring have to do with Joe?
This was my explanation.Thought I’d share an example of a simple demonstration of gratitude.
People are angry for many reasons over the Paterno situation and it surfaced during many discussions. But to say that people are angry over Paterno BECAUSE a basketball coach retired is plain stupid. The Jay Wright retirement has nothing to do with the anger. So everything that happens in college athletics is about Joe? Again, this was the Villanova basketball coach retiring and it's been turned into a "Joe Paterno never got his" thread. It's insane and it's why people call our fanbase a cult.
This was my explanation.
You are the antithesis of those you rail against. You also fail to understand them. For those who do understand, no further explanation is necessary. For those, like you, who do not, no explanation is possible. So be it.What does Jay Wright retiring and the school showing gratitude to him have to do with Joe Paterno? Why is everything about Joe? This had nothing to do with Joe. It's not even the same situation as Joe. It's not even close. A matter of fact they couldn't be any more different. Villanova had a long time coach retire and the school expressed their gratitude. Joe Paterno was fired after a huge scandal and people think they university was going to or should have shown the guy they just fired some gratitude? In what world are these two things even remotely the same?
Again, there is a portion of our fanbase that takes great offense to anything that happens in college athletics under the "but what about Joe!?" mantra. People are right to call at least part of our fanbase a cult because it is. People worship Joe as an infallible cult leader. The irony is that Joe never wanted to be idolized the way in which the cult section of our fanbase worships him.
You seem to be clueless. Did anyone bother to do any fact-checking or investigation before they decided to fire Paterno? Fire, aim, ready! What does Jay Wright retiring and the school showing gratitude to him have to do with Joe Paterno? Why is everything about Joe? This had nothing to do with Joe. It's not even the same situation as Joe. It's not even close. A matter of fact they couldn't be any more different. Villanova had a long time coach retire and the school expressed their gratitude. Idolizing and wanted justice are miles apart. What does Jay Wright retiring and the school showing gratitude to him have to do with Joe Paterno? Why is everything about Joe? Just to give you a heads up for future reference: if you see a post by @Zenophile with a title inviting Penn State decision makers to check it out, you may want to simply avoid clicking it.What does Jay Wright retiring and the school showing gratitude to him have to do with Joe Paterno? Tired of getting mad? LOL.....never....You see, it isn't just what the scum bags did to Joe.....It's the fact that in the more than a decade they've had to realize they made a terrible error, they double down. Let's not forget it was certain OGBOT who insisted that Sandusky be granted emeritus status....which included access to the football facilities with Second Mile boys. It's incredible that the basketball coach retiring from another school triggers anger about Joe Paterno here. I'm reading anger. This thread was turned into a Joe Paterno thread before I even commented. What does this guy retiring have to do with Joe? Why would that even be something to bring up in this thread about the Villanova basketball coach retiring? Yet here we were. Again, do you guys ever get tired of getting mad? People are in here talking about people bragging about firing Joe. People are talking about how at least they kept Joe's name on the library. What in the world does this have to do with the topic? Nothing. It has nothing to do with it but the Joebots think everything that happens in college athletics is somehow a slight to Joe Paterno.
Just to give you a heads up for future reference: if you see a post by @Zenophile with a title inviting Penn State decision makers to check it out, you may want to simply avoid clicking it.
If, for any reason, it's too late for you to heed my first recommendation -- and then you find that my post is illustrative of another academic institution showing some token demonstration of gratitude to a departing coach or influential figure -- then you may assume without asking that I'm showing Penn State how simple & inexpensive it can be to begin addressing a rather expensive issue that it has and will continue to have until Penn State chooses to address it.
Hope you and I are square now.
That’s my favorite post of the year!!Jay Wright loves Endicott Steel.
