SPC has kept the mod risk south of I-20 and is still mentioning a tornado outbreak possible in that area. However, Jackson NWS is seeing what I am and that is the hi res models developing supercells further north along the 82 corridor and saying if they develop they could, and probably would, go tornadic. SPC updated again at 8:00am and I am waiting to see if they expand the mod risk any. If not, I'm probably going to head towards Jackson and just keep an eye and see what develops where to try and get in position for it. But if you live between Hattiesburg and Grenada I'd keep an eye out today. The further north the threat may also be pushed further east.

While I do actually have a meteorology degree from state, I'm not practicing and I don't pay attention to model runs. Whens the cap pop? This line is getting very close and there is zero development out in front. Only a couple of short-lived warnings in south central LA. Is it not time yet, or did the models run a bit aggressive?

Looks like southeast to east central Mississippi and into Alabama might get more of those discrete cells

Spoke too soon. Stuff embedded within the line really starting to rotate. New warning for NW Hinds and SW/South Madison.

I'm in Madison. One of the TV stations said a tornado crossed I55 between us and Ridgeland. We probably got 60mph winds and it's raining it's *** off. Knock on wood...so far so good in my area.

While i try to figure out how to embed a video, go search for the red Chevrolet truck caught in the tornado in Texas I believe. That sucker was on its side, spinning around before being flipped up-right. He drove off like a champ!

Tornado warning in Carrollton, MS. Heavy rain and definitely some circulation looking at trees in yard.

Wind is blowing hard down here in the south off of the gulf. That's going to make things interesting when it hits that wind coming from the north west

WTVA reporting tornado hit West Point in the Old Waverly area. It traveled NE into Monroe County in the Darracott community. Crossed the River close to Columbus AFB and jumped back up in the air. Reporting damage but to reports of injuries.
