Looks like the portal has bit Hurley's butt-- Eric Reibe & his backup Rrelon Elezaj both 7' centers have hit the portal. Guess that's where you know who might wind up.

Guess they both knew who was coming. šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«
Surprised by this. Despite Reibe's tail-off at end of the season I thought he had a much better year than Hines (though stats don't bear that out), and better offensive moves and footwork than did Clinghan in his freshman year. Wonder if it had more to do with distribution of dollars. Don't know what he got this year, but am sure he wanted more to return.

Big story in CT papers this a.m. about Ross returning for his senior year. Slow news day, obviously. Why would he leave?

Everything with UCONN basketball is a big story in CT. They are the de facto professional team.

I think Ross is viewed as a potential really good two-way player as a senior who they think will take another jump.

Having lived in CT for many years, UConvicts were the ONLY sport in town. Now they truly are a professional team, but so are most other former college teams. 😰

Add to that. papers in the largest CT cities were all bought out by Hearst a few years ago. Each sacrificed local for state-wide coverage. Several storiess appear every day from the euphoria of Ross's return to the cottage Azzi Fudd's grandparents rent during basketball season. In the CT (Bridgeport) Post, there is virtually nothing about Fairfield, Sacred Heart, and Quinnipiac, or the departing Bridgeport Sound Tigers. High school sports coverage has disappeared, too. Sign of the times, I guess.
