Let’s do this.
Bring on zee Germans

Edit: I'm editing the Subject line to turn this into a UEFA Euro 2024 thread.

As for Copa America 2024, I think the USMNT thread would be sufficient for discussing the USA team in that competition. If folks think the tournament warrants its own thread, indicate as much in a reply, and I'll create a separate thread for Copa America 2024.

I stepped away from the Italy-Albania match for a total of 2 minutes and missed all three goals.

Bellingham was awesome on defense. Saka had a nice first half.
Those were the two that had good games. England didn't look very convincing and a lot of the stars had a quiet day - Foden, Kane were pretty absent. Will be curious if Alexander-Arnold starts the next game.

I only caught the Portugal - Czechia match. A lot of fun to watch, even with the rain.

Spain - Italy in the opening stage is a gift to fans. It's early in the game, but you can see how high the level of competition is.

Edit: to amplify, they just said on the TV broadcast that the two teams had won 3 of the last 4 Euro Championships

Spain looked outstanding. It's a shame that the only goal in the match was an own goal.

There were so many near goals in Spain - Italy. I'm just going to post the only goal. Italy's GK, Donnarumma, was the star of the match.
