Not a whole lot of woke in Ft. Worth. I don't know about the international LL organization though.

Now, AUSTIN, mind you...
And San Antonio. And El Paso. And Dallas. Ft. Worth is the 14th largest city in America and the largest city run by Republicans. The Dallas mayor ran and was elected as a black Democrat but has switched to the Republican party. That city council though...

I don't think that individual would be involved with running a city like Ft. Worth. Do you know anything about Ft. Worth?

I know nothing about Ft Worth but I do know the upstate of SC has , for the most part , been sensible conservatives until the cross dresser showed up at Food Lion.....so there's a crack in the armor....the funniest part about it was my girl didnt pay much attention to the fact there was a man in a skirt and heels she commented that the shoes didnt match the outfit

Sounds like your girl is a better person than you. She obviously wasn't hurt by the guy wearing a skirt. Why were you?

I wasnt hurt by it just surprised to see it in TR.....as long as he dont try to go in the women's bathroom while my girl is in there he can do what he wants....I would suggest strongly that he invest in a wig tho to complete the ensemble and cover his balding head

I know it will be unpopular, given the current state of the thread, but back to the OP.

1) - There is a lot missing from both sides in this. I'd like to see what else comes out as this goes forward.

2) - I prefer DYB over LL anyway.

I suspect they found a way to assemble a super team without strictly violating any rules.

If they didn't violate any rules, why remove them from the tourney?
Particularly, without a reason and clear explanation!
No idea. My hunch is was just a judgement call that something seemed fishy about the team's total dominance. Outscoring your opponents 158-4 will earn some scrutiny.

Houston is bluer than Dallas.

When I was a kid in Georgetown, I knew Matt Goyak. He was reputed to be one of the initiators of DYB.

Sadly, DYB was started for all the wrong reasons. Fortunately, they appear to have grown well beyond it.

lol, yeah, not a shining moment for Columbia's history. I'm shocked they hung onto the "dixie" as long as they did.

Coach Richardson was quite instrumental in establishing it in SC as well.
Richardson came to Beaufort around 1970 or 1971 for some sort of FCA-type program, where all the youth baseball teams got together - both black and white. This was right before the leagues were racially integrated.

The original name was Little Boys Baseball. Not sure when they changed the name.
