I think he lost some money tonight. Missed some "easy" throws. Threw off his back foot all night. Threw into quintuple coverage on the pick. Washington was fortunate to be in the game at halftime, but handed back the momentum on the first play of the 2nd half.Penix had the game of his life vs Texas.
If he had had only an average game tonight Wash would have won. He missed a slew of open receivers with poor throws or simply not seeing them. The game was there for the taking!
And then signing Saquon in the offseason?About the only thing that could make the way this entire season of football ended worse would be the Cowboys winning the Superbowl.
its the white glove techniqueHas anyone else noticed that the replays show blatant holds on scum, offensive and defensive, but no flags.
Did you forget how Joey Porter played corner for us?Has anyone else noticed that the replays show blatant holds on scum, offensive and defensive, but no flags.
Yep. They were the best TEAM. Credit to Harbaugh and UM. I still wish that muffed punt at the end of regulation against Alabama found it's way to the end zone, but it didn't. To the victors go the spoils.Say what you want about weirdo Harbaugh, cheating, etc., but at least this wasn't a team of five stars winning on sheer talent (which is what Saban does). This was largely because a bunch of players wholeheartedly bought into the team and though eligible to move on decided to come back for a run at a title. We should be so lucky.
Agreed. And talk about having a personality. UM stuck to the ground game even when W seemed to have stopped it. Michigan was only 10 of 18 for 140 yards passing. That is very low and inefficient. I get the first half, but UM stuck with it when W seemed to have stopped it in the second half. Two huge plays: JJ's QB run deep in their own territory to flip the field position after W got within 7 and the long pass to the TE that led to UM going up by 14 in the 4th quarter.Say what you want about weirdo Harbaugh, cheating, etc., but at least this wasn't a team of five stars winning on sheer talent (which is what Saban does). I'd certainly be willing to put a lot of $ on Drew Allar making an NFL roster if you're interested.I meant the Clifford during his college days. Yeah, he's a pro player now, which is something Allar will never be.
My newest pet peeve is the "I'm too cool to put my mouth guard in" look. Watching the Bills the other night, I think it was dangling from Stefon Diggs facemask on every single offensive play. And it's not just him.Why does the ‘ I m too cool to wear knee pads’ look get under my skin
303 yards rushing and 7.8 yards per play on offense. I'd say UM won this matchup with both O and D.I thought UM tried playing a bit too much pass in the 2nd quarter and gave UW some hope.
Expected them to go back to heavy running package and just about called JJ run on 3rd and 9 that flipped the field.
UM won this matchup with their defense. Dominant line play, seemed like Penix was never looking in the face of a pass rush, enough clutch and grab knowing that the DL would disrupt QB and still get away with it.
Penix looked like death warmed over late in the game.
Minter should have some interest elsewhere. He's a pretty good defensive mind.
By mid-season it seemed to me that UM and Georgia were the two best teams in CFB. Then, watching the way UM beat PSU without even having to throw a pass in the second half was impressive and depressing.303 yards rushing and 7.8 yards per play on offense. That's the way I have it too. I actually still have UGA ranked slightly ahead of UM. I have Oregon 3rd (Bama is close). This will blow a lot of minds, but Oregon would likely still be a favorite over UW on a neutral field.By mid-season it seemed to me that UM and Georgia were the two best teams in CFB. Then, watching the way UM beat PSU without even having to throw a pass in the second half was impressive and depressing. In spite of Georgia's loss, I still think they were one of the two best teams at the end of the season too. I also think that Georgia would have been the most difficult match-up for UM.
Based on Charlie Baker’s comments today, pretty clear you can go ahead and update the thread to “official.”Probably best to keep the thread unofficial until we hear back from the NCAA as to whether this game will stand.![]()
