@LaJollaCreek no problem with those conditions, third world kids grow up with worse. How often is a foreign team forced to endure a spring blizzard in Colorado or playing in Columbus or anywhere else in the North when a southern venue could have been utilized?

our country club kids need to suck it up and play on any pitch where the game is scheduled.

They did play on that pitch and at the highest international level the fields can be better than what they played on last night. They didn't opt out of the match so I'm not even sure what your saying to be honest. It was idiotic to schedule games in Minnesota and in the midwest in the winter....so yes the conditions for these athletes should be favorable as to not cause injuries like foot long craters in the field. The field was garbage.

Panama drew with Costa Rica 2-2 tonight to join us in the semis. Mexico-Honduras and Canada-Suriname tomorrow to fill it out. Canada is looking good, but Mexico has some serious work to do (and unless Canada runs it up tomorrow night, we’d very likely get Mexico in the semi if they survive).

Good results come from not being tentative, letting it rip instead of one more pass and moving the ball forward. They did all three last night and here they are, brand new team.

Pulisic was being Pulisic, the one player who truly understands the extra dribble is unnecessary. Good to see others are figuring it out.

Anybody miss the old regime?

To be fair, Jamaica looks like a shell of its former self. Sure hope Canada makes it through and we face them. Young, athletic and reckless is a fun combination.

I saw similar results at home in bigger matches so I'll wait to declare anything a success or failure. I was disappointed in the gaps and defending to be brutally honest as Jamaica could have put 5 in with even decent finishing. Wide open looks and that was without Antonio who is better than any US striker currently and when the paper work gets sorted with Mason Greenwood Jamaica's front 3 of Bailey, Gray, Antonio, and Greenwood will be as good as anyone in Concacaf.

Good to see Pulisic get out of this 2 game set standing for his club side as he was hacked apart in both games. Poch has barely had over 2 total weeks with team so he'll need next summer to really figure it all out and get his style actually implemented. It was clear they had some gaps when they did push, but that is stuff he can correct. IMO the ceiling is minimally higher now than it was 9 months ago from a player and coaching perspective. They can win Concacaf tournaments, qualify for a WC, s but are still steps behind the true top 10 teams in the world.

Certainly a step behind but being aggressive is what they need to succeed ( or crash and burn potentially, the downside to that style ) at the international tournament level. Taking shots without hesitating was a welcome sign.

I was very surprised early as it seemed Jamaica could move the ball without much effort but never finished. Once they were down 2/0 they stood around for the last half of the first half.
