State’s win total over is 8-4-1 the last 13 years. Always bet the over.

We will be favored in 5 games. Pittman coaching with his *** in the jackpot is not an ARK advantage of any kind.

UF line will be a FG or less in either direction. A&M and OM both winnable, but will be dogs. We will get at least one out of three.

Expecting a Mizzou beatdown due to the spot on the schedule. Tenn, Tex, UGA no chance.

6-6 certainly attainable. o4 wins at even money is a good spot.

Arkansas has 16 preseason east west shrine game players on the watch list. we have 6.

Their roster is more talented on both sides of the ball and Petrino replacing Enos is a difference maker. Arkansas will probably be favored in that game.

Can’t use past to guess the future. Program is more in flux than it ever has been over those 13 seasons. Vegas isn’t biased. i can see a ceiling of 7 and floor of 3. 4.5 seems like a good number to create action. Gun to head over, but there are better wagers. Lots of unknowns.

Did you just use an east west shrine game as a point of reference….that game takes the scrubs of scubs. Wow o. That’s almost as bad as using Athalons who did so much research they namesd Zach arnett Will arenett.

You’re misinformed. nfl draft sites have it listed because it is made up of the top college players who make up the nfl draft. Arkansas is fourth in the sec with 16 players.

bo nix, Michael Penix, Blake Corrum etc were on it last year.

The list is comprised of all-star game eligible college football players, so two of the likely top underclassmen quarterback prospects -- 2022 Heisman Trophy winner and USC quarterback Caleb Williams and North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye, the 2022 ACC Offensive Player of the Year -- are not included. Below, we have highlighted some notable players on the Shrine Bowl's prospect list entering the 2023 college football.

Quarterbacks

  • Bo Nix, Oregon
  • Michael Penix Jr., Washington
  • KJ Jefferson, Arkansas

im referring to the preseason watch list, basically the top 1000 players in college football, not the bowl game participants.

youre being obtuse or maybe you’re just a bit slow.

16 east west shrine players?? lol you’re such a loser. It makes you so mad when anyone tries to argue we may not suck as bad as you think. Who knows what will happen, but it’s pretty clear you want Lebby and this team to fail.

No im trying to show you that these lame articles you bring up or these fan sites you love to link as long as it shows state in a negative light. You want to be cool cause you **** on state football every chance you get. No one gives a **** about some east west shrine game list. I say it all the time be part of the solution not part of the problem. Your like have dug your heels in and say no way I’m gonna give to Bulldog initiative . You spend way to much time being a negative poster

Actually I’m giving objective reasons of why Arkansas will probably be favored in the game this year, in the context of the O/U win total.

you seem to get overly emotional and denounce anyone who disagrees with you, or in this case anyone who is looking at reality.

Auburn had 23 players on this coveted preseason list last year. Surely they finished above .500.

It’s not a guarantee of a good record, but it’s an indication of a general talent level on a team. Arkansas has more talent on both sides of the ball. Not debatable.

I think that is debatable. Or is this just another one of your po ol state takes. They lost there QB and RB. Sure went out and got the Boise State QB but there has no evidence that he’s going to perform at a high level in the SEC. Also, big elephant in the room is backstabbing Bobby P and how’s that and Pittman gonna mesh. But I regress. Again here you go shitting on our talent level and praising Arkansas who by the way we have beaten the last two years. We get them at home this year.
You keep saying i disagree with anyone who doesn’t share my ideas. And that’s not totally factual. What I do disagree with is this negative narrative you and other people post. You say we have no talent, false, say we are poor, false, say we aren’t gonna win but 4 games, false again. All these negative posters like yourself come on here and post this crap but don’t give one penny to the BI yet ***** and ***** and ***** about negative crap all the time.

This is, going by draft eligible talent, the 22nd worst roster in ALL of division 1. We have 2 players in the top 900. The TE brothers that transferred in are only ones and they are like 504th and 720th out of 900 eligible players.

From LeftField Lounger :

“Since the Vegas under/over win totals were released, Mississippi State has moved from 4.5 wins on the season to just 4 wins on the season. There is still a pretty heavy bet from America that State does not win 4 games. We could see that number drop to 3.5 wins by the time the season starts”

any idea why the win totals are dropping ? Injuries or someone ineligible ?
The line movement isn't based off injuries/ineligibles. Its based off a high volume of money being placed on Under 4.5 wins. Once the money piled up on the under, the bookmakers had to adjust the line down to O/U 4. If money keeps coming in on the under then they will keep dropping the number until money evens out on both sides.

So in short, some vegas sharps that bet tens of thousands of dollars per bet dont think we can win more than 4 games this year. That type line movement isn't happening based off Jo Blow college football fan who bets $50 on us to go under our win total.

All this star talk coming from a fanbase that should have learned about the star system scam many many moons ago. You know the former quarterback and current starting quarterback for the cowboys was a 2 star with one other offer from ut Martin, but they continue to think it’s all about 10th grade stars instead of development….and I’d bet development is exactly what’s been going on behind your hard-headed prying eyes.
Stars matter. Period. And pointing out the high profile anomalies doesn't change that.

Also, Dak was a 3 star with several offers, including one from LSU. You're thinking of Fitz.

Oh yes stars definitely matter. Like in 2022 and 2021 when Jimbo fisher had all those 5 stars and the Miss State 3 stars had a chip on their shoulders and skull drug them up and down the field all day. Fun times.

You just proved that good coaching is also very important. Nice work.
