Penn State picks up its quarterback for Class of 2024
The Nittany Lions added commitment No. 14 to its class Saturday.
Happy for the commit. The focus was Van Buren but it looks like he is leaning towards Oregon.

He is announcing at 4pm. Looks like a done deal for Oregon. He will be at Charlotte in 2 years.
Former St Frances sugar daddy Biff Poggi is now the head coach at Charlotte.
Do they have a connection with Oregon also? I looked at the Oregon 2024 commits and there is another kid from SFA committed there already also. Interestingly, they also have another QB committed with almost the exact same ranking as MVB.
Oregon is 3,000 miles from St Frances. PSU is a 2 hour drive to St Frances. Someone from the staff should be living in Baltimore. They have a couple dozen D1 players.
I get that. However, some HS coaching staffs seem to drive their players away from certain schools. This school and its coaching staff have a history of that with PSU. Same with that QB from North Jersey that they lost to ND several years ago. That kids HS coach was not shy about his dislike of PSU. Oh well, life goes on. As a wise old coach used to say, “ You can’t worry about the ones you don’t get. You can only worry about the ones you do get.”
For the record, I’m not disappointed in any way. If CJF and Yurcich like Grunk, then so do I! Welcome to PSU Ethan! Excel in the classroom and on the field. WE ARE…..

Most of the kids that go to Saint Francis are not the kind of kids that make for good teammates, so I think the staff would be better off doing what they’re doing rather than trying to focus on that place

Not sure where that is coming from. They had a kid that was arrested that committed to Oregon a few years ago. That’s one out of 40 D 1 recruits in the last 3 years.
I live here and have coached kids they try and recruit. Biff and his pals are scum
I wouldn’t take it that far. His ego is huuuuuuuuge and so is his checkbook. His success in high school football is based on outspending others. No one fears him when it comes to X’s and O’s he simply has more Jimmy’s and Joe’s. That being said he’s done a lot to help kids, some that have never played for him at Gilman or SFA.
He’s no Chad Powers (who is?) - but out there getting that arm on tape…

The one in State College was regional, but he was offered the spot at the National competition for his weekend performance.
Can there be a better QB name then Grunkmeyer? Seems like a perfect fit. Can't wait until this kid lights it up at PSU!!
When Grunkemeyer is backing up Allar and everyone wants him to play. Or when he is playing and no one wants him to. Open to interpretation.
