We are less talented this year

I dare say, with XL, Juice, and Brown............we would have possibly the three best receivers on one team in the country. And in Gamecock fashion, two of them are hurt right now. I'll take Knox over Bell. Lloyd was a lost potential player, but who would know as every time he flashed of being really good, he got hurt. Edmond is 2nd team at FSU so hope he's fulfilling his dream. I miss Vann and Brooks. Other than that, I think we have more talent with more potential. We need a stud RB, but we also may have a true freshman that will fill that role next year with a little time in the weight room.
Knox is not better than Bell.

So who would that be? Which one of our upcoming opponents were you impressed with? KY? UF? Mizzou? Vandy? UT? Jackson St? TAMU? The only team out of all of them that looked good was the taters. The rest, you could throw in a blender and not get one that looked any better than us. KY has played........now wait for it........Akron, E. KY, Ball St, and Vandy.....get that, they are 4-0 and looked pedestrian against each. So let's see how this plays out but you could be right, or wrong.
Kinda thin skinned. I'm seeing 5-7 at best.

Sir Oregon is a top 10 team. They would likely do the same to us. That’s a cop out. No one expected them to win that game or come close. No one said they were elite. But they are night and day better than last year.
We played the #1 team and they didn’t do that to us. So I doubt it.

What in the world did my factual post have to do with thin skin? Trust me, I am not butt hurt KY has played an easy schedule so far. You make 0 sense with that response to my post.

But hey, I heard a UT fan this week ranting on how they owe us because “that defensive lineman intentionally injured Hooker and took him out of the game which caused UT to lose. I hope they pay that lineman back.”

So like George Costanza said I guess….” It’s not a lie if you believe it”

I think he saw Bell’s dominance during the tater game last week. O wait, he had no impact. Maybe Bell threw a block from the TE position finally.
Typical JB performances. Big game against LSU, relatively quiet since. Is their fan base fighting each other bc the coaching staff is “costing him millions” by not using him correctly??

I've been a gamecock fan and follower since the mid-60;s. If there is one thing I've learned is we have a knack for making pedestrain teams look all world so I don't take anything for granted. Ky has handled us pretty well. A&M on the road will be tough. It looked to me after seeing them play that those kids they spent big money on a couple of years ago are finally paying dividends. Mz. is another program we have had big time problems with no matter the record. Fl. has looked good in a couple of games and certainly have the athletes to play well. Tn. I guess we'll find out in Knoxville. I don't think any of these games will be a cake walk. All have played well in spurts. If n. c. kicked our *** certainly some of these teams are capable of doing the same.
Oh I didn’t say we can’t lose…..we could lose any or all of them. But on our remaining schedule, I also don’t think I have seen any one of them that are better than us. Simply put, if we play well, we can win out. We can also lose out.

Bell and Knox are both having rather pedestrian seasons as per the receiving numbers. Both have 10 receptions in 4 games. Bell 2 TDs, Knox 1 TD. 151 yards for Bell and 113 for Knox. My guess is that Bell would have been much more involved in the offense if he had stayed here. But him leaving was probably the best for us and him. A chronically unhappy player can become toxic in the locker room.

That was a ridiculously overrated value to put on Edmond. Dude has 4 tackles and no sacks for them.

True. We just totally missed in the OL transfers.
Don't forget Gargiulo who may be our best OL. Fugars is a redshirt sophomore and should get better. Hughes is a preferred walkon and has actually made the field a good bit. We missed on a transfer who verbally committed to us but then left when he got more NIL money elsewhere.

I have to say I don’t really understand all the vitriol against Colorado. I’m not a Colorado buffaloes fan. I live in Denver and I never gave a sh— about Colorado. Generally I pull for Colorado state Between the two of them. I’ like to pull for the underdogs probadly because I’m a South Carolina fan.

I’m not saying, I agree with his Method of getting rid of sixtysomething kids on scholarship. But what he’s done for that football program in one season or less than a season is amazing. The stands are full, there’s excitement he’s bringing in millions of dollars to the program and he is recruiting better than they have in 15 years.

Their quarterback Sheduer Sanders Has been Amazing up until Oregon.. The two-way player I can’t remember. His name is an unbelievable athlete.

I find myself recording the Colorado game now and watching it just to see how they’re going to do. You have to give credit where credit is due even if they lose all the remaining games .they won one game last year they will continue to improve.

When the CSU player took a cheap shot on the Colorado receiver and lacerated his liver with a late it prime time, never one of my favorites, went on the news, and was very classy and saying “ we forgive him. He played his *** Off. And certainly no one should be threatening a kids life.”

At this point Deion Sanders, has done a remarkable job. Time will tell whether it’s sustainable. But you have to give me the man his due at this point.

You’re right. Nick G looks pretty good. Probably not fair if me to say we missed on them all. Playing beside Fugar and Hughes likely made him look worse than he is. Not sure he’s our best. I think that’s Tree. But he’s certainly not a bad pickup.

You sure about Hughes? I thought he was on scholarship.

who was the transfer we lost to NIL money? I know we lost Jeffcoat, but that was an admissions fiasco.

Isaiah Jatta was a JC portal player who decommitted from us and went to Colorado. I have not checked out how he has done.

Unless something has happened more recently, Hughes is a walkon. https://gamecocksonline.com/sports/football/roster/player/jaxon-hughes/
