We are 14th in conference play in HRs. Our lack of power is killing us on the weekends.

Yeah, we haven't hit many in conference, but we're 10th overall and right in the mix with the 7th place team. It just feels like we're hitting more than the last few teams, but I freely acknowledge I didn't research it.

They should win two this weekend.
They desperately need a sweep. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they even win the series vs an equally desperate team.

We've had surprisingly similar seasons. Carolina has won every game where they were the clear favorite and lost to every good team they've played save a single win vs Oklahoma. Swept in 3 games each vs Clemson, Arky and Tennessee. They've had a slightly tougher SEC schedule than us with Okie, Arkansas and Tennessee.

Agreed. It's two very similar teams. I went to two of their three games versus Clemson. It very much feels like it's two teams still fighting for something to go right with their seasons. Having said that if State or Carolina get swept this weekend, it's probably the death knell for the team that got swept. 1-2 or 2-1, you probably still have some hope, no matter how faint it may be.

Every team... even bad ones... have a week/weekend where they play really well... We are due a good weekend. It needs to be this one or things could go farther south that they've already gone.

We're going to have some better weekends provided the players don't get demoralized.

I still believe Lemonis isn't a bad coach although we are certainly finding ways to lose like a really poorly coached team. He's just a pretty good coach in a league where you need to be good to really good.

i dont think hes a bad coach... think hes average. Think he's a players coach, cares very much about the players to the point where he does whats best for a player at times instead of whats best for the team. He needs strong player leadership to be successful...and we havent had it.

Average coaches get chewed up and spit out in the SEC. I guess that's what we are witnessing with Lemonis.
